Please let us tint our weapons too!

So I just got around to tinting the armour on all 6 of my playthroughs. Even though 4 of them are already complete I really wanted to play with the tinter. XD

Anyway, I noticed we can't tint our weapons. That makes me sad, I like to match! I put all characters in tints that I felt fit them and their personalities but since most of their weapons are high mats they don't always match anymore. Please give us the option to tint weapons as well so that those of us who like (unrealistic but fun) matching armour and weapons can keep the character looks consistent.

For example, if I now have Bull in armour that has obsidian for the metal bits, his dragonbone axe doesn't match anymore!

And shields especially.

This^

I like to put Cassandra and Blackwall into matching colors (Normally bloodstone red), So they look pretty, no matter the amount of gore on 'em!

But the usually dawnstone pink ruins it on their shields. ;o;

I don't have enough likes to express how much I support that idea.  :P

I haven't experienced this tinting phenomenon yet.

For the armor, it's in the Undercroft next to the buy/sell option.  I really enjoy it, and I've made some nice changes for my PC's armor as well as my companions.  If we could tint weapons, especially shields, it would just be icing on the cake.  That and the storage space are the best things about the current patch.

I dunno, I found that with Silverite being a top tier material and just looking neutrally-metall-y, you're all set. It goes with everything.

(Blackwall gets nothing but a Silverite Grey Warden Shield that is periodically "updated", anyways)

I haven't played a game long enough to reach skyhold since patch 5 screwed my game up.

...including weapon mods. They keep showing metal mods, that don't use metal mats, and vice-versa. I don't want to use broken STAGGER obsidian just to get matching handles.

Since the upgrades don't conform to the color of the weapon like they do for armor, they'd have to either make a separate weapon upgrade tinter or have the tinter change all the materials for both the weapon and the upgrade at once. Preferably the first one, since I like having Veridium-colored blades on golden hilts.

If they allow us to tint the weapon the 'giant pink hammer' joke won't play as it does now.

Just leave it untinted.  ;)

In my own thread I had put in a request for a tinting table for the clothes.  Maybe the devs could make the armor and weapon tinting stations one table, and then put in another table for tinting the Skyhold clothes.  The Undercroft still has a lot of room in it.   :P

I'd love to be able to tint weapons.  Would also be nice to have some more options available for armor/weapons.  Defender, Vanguard and Battlemaster all look pretty similar and even though you can tint them now the leather option still has no effect, which is very disappointing because the leather skirt they all feature is awful and there is no way to deemphasize it.

Also some more one handed weapons might be nice.  Really what I'd love to see more than anything is for someone to make some updates to the algorithm they use to determine "random" treasure drops.

It kills the RP aspect of the game that 90% of what I get for loot is either a Qunari Visor or something to upgrade Bianca, a one of a kind completely unique weapon.  It's completely ridiculous.  It would be nice if the random drops were at least occasionally useful, I almost never seem to get anything my character can use.  If I'm running a rogue, I get a ton of crap for a warrior, if I'm running a warrior, I get daggers up the wazoo - it's rather frustrating.

Also if I have a schematic for something, then there shouldn't be any race restrictions attached.  I can understand that the Orlesien army may not make armor for elves, dwarves or quinari - that makes sense.  But if I'm having it custom made, it makes no sense that such a restriction still applies.

Also, tinting prior to skyhold would be great - The only halfway decent armor it seems you can get until you get to skyhold is that armor of the dragon stuff, and while it doesn't look to shabby in darker colors the all white version is hideous, so bad that at the moment the dwarf sword and shield warrior I'm playing is still wearing his original mercenary armor - with the piddly armor value of 40,  because the only other armor I've found for him so far after reaching 6th level is all so awful looking I just can't stand to have him wear it.

For the other gameplay stuff, please contribute to the thread I linked.  You'll find you're in similar company with many of your ideas, and I always welcome more.   ;)

I only ask so we can keep this one more on topic.
