Beings of light created since the dawn of time to protect all life from the 'Reapers' by transporting people via Relay to unknown space? Planet Klencory: Kepler Verge System Mass Effect 1 wiki. Sounds like a good Mass Effect 4 plot right?  With it being about exploration? Surely Bioware couldn't have looked THAT far ahead. Tell me what you people think ;)

First thing that came to mind was: IF "beings of light" are somehow used in Mass Effect 4, there is going to have to be a pretty good reason for Shepard to have never heard of them - assuming that ME4 happens around the same time as the Shepard story, but in a galaxy far far away (couldn't resist).

Beings of light created at the dawn of time to protect life from the reapers who, as far as we know, were not created at the dawn of time or anywhere near it.

First off that entire planet doesn't make any sense. An icy... implies water in ice form.

1) A surface of potassium. - Potassium is a highly reactive alkali metal and is not found in metallic form... ever.

2) An atmosphere of chlorine and argon. Okay, I can buy the argon, but chlorine? Really? The average temperature of Klencory is below the freezing point of chlorine.

And the liquid chlorine (if any) on the equatorial areas would have reacted explosively with the metallic potassium at sometime during the planet's past!

3) Thus leaving a surface predominantly of salt flats and possibly liquid chlorine oceans near the equator that possibly freeze at night.

4) Certainly not any gaseous chlorine since it doesn't boil until it reaches a temperature of -34o C.

5) Also given the activity level of free chlorine the likelihood of it existing uncombined is slim indeed. Perhaps there are lots of chlorides and salt flats.

Klencory has an average temperature of -109o C

I like the idea. I like it a lot actually. I hope ME:Next offers more insight on these beings of light.

Klencory is famously claimed by the eccentric volus billionaire Kumun Shol. He claims that a vision of a higher being told him to seek on Klencory the "lost crypts of beings of light." These entities were supposedly created at the dawn of time to protect organic life from synthetic "machine devils."

I don't know about you, but these ''lost crypts'' made me think of this:

Spoiler

His once-ridiculed visions of "beings of light" protecting organic life from synthetic "machine devils" don't seem quite so far-fetched now. His private army of mercenaries are well-established on the planet, waiting for husks to come knocking in on their door. In all likelihood, they will be obliterated by the molten metal of a Reaper orbital bombardment, on its way to somewhere important.

Perhaps the crypts? Those beings of light must be real.

Battlestar Galactica 1978 has ships of light. So many...  "coincidences" of thematic reference.

The crypts sound like prothean stasis pods, and the beings of light like prothean VI's.

If any of the planetary mysteries tie in with MENext, I'd put my money on the gas giant Ploba:

"Active scans by survey ships have returned tantalizing indications of massive, solid structures deep within the atmosphere, too regular in pattern to be anything natural."

Most likely, though, none of the as-yet-unexplained teasers will be explained; they're just there to make the galaxy feel big and ancient.

There isn't really any mystery. Like most of the planet descriptions, it's just pure, inconsequential lore.
