but damage is better for every infiltrator except shadow. Just takes better timing for devices and revivesL2P is not the issue. Folks not wanting even one 1% weakness in their epeen is. As overall dps adds up to total epeen score.

It's different. I couldn't care less for duration making devices easier either, because I don't care if a wipe occurs (though I sorta care for the pugs tears sometimes). But I care because it's different and it gives me more variety & different perspective when playing, therefore keeping me going longer before another ME3mp break.
Also, no way that HI build isn't optimum enough. Especially when pugging.
Plus I already mentioned the HI that dps is still not an issue because of Sticky Nades & that I had 5 ops packs left in that match & that there are 2 HI so that I can have the other for dmg instead of duration anyway. And if I really needed to hold the line, nothing is stopping me from throwing as many nades under duration cloak as it takes to get the job done... well wait, I do worry about the pugs not having enough things to kill as well, so I try no to get too carried away when it comes to nades... except extraction wave, of course... or if that epeen needs feeding. ![]()
And for the same reasons you think Shadow duration is the only exception, I can say the same for Huntress & HI. Because that second Shadow strike doesn't get the tac cloak bonus, so "blah blah, wasted dps, blah, blah" back at you. ![]()
... Also, 99% of players are nowhere near good enough or play with good enough folks to always make no-duration just as easy. Ditto for the amount of players that get hurt feeling from nothing getting payday. So my suggested builds are more noob friendly as well... maybe not as noob friendly as that lamer Geth Trooper/Acolyte combo, but you get the idea.

One-shot removing of Phantoms is probably the best thing she can do for the team and self-satisfaction. But you don't wasn't to be wasting points on redundant evos that don't aid with that, because you want to also be doing as much damage to the more common armor on other bosses for general DPS and utility.
My current build has been tested quite extensively using gear and weapon mods and currently performs that role well. However I've never tried it without 5a, so don't know if that bonus is bugged.

As far as I know, nobody has ever specifically tested if the shield damage evo works for SS and provided the associated data. Tests for armour damage has already been done before here and here, showing that it works for only the impact but not the DoT portion. Assuming that shield/barrier damage works for shadow strike in the same way, this calculator will give you what you want.

Some people seem to be suggesting that rank 5 on Sword Mastery is bugged and the martial artist bonus doesn't apply, anyone have any clarification on this?
My experience is that it does work, but I probably only really pay attention when soloing, so it could be buggy with others, or off-host.

but shotgun and omniblade will do more than pistol with stunner and power mod. Es doesn't need more power because it should rarely be used. (Also should never go past rank 3 as that is a waste of points)
It depends on the circumstances, and there are far more factors at work than simply a single damage calculation. Basing an "always do this" claim based on a single damage calculation ignores the complexities of gameplay.
And given your claims about ES, I'll assume you have limited experience with different Shadow builds/loadouts.
