It's interesting. I met a girl off steam. We just talked as friends. I didn't try to push it anything past that. I simply enjoyed playing Rust with her. I knew she must have a billion guys hitting on her everyday with vulgar messages. I never attempted to do anything like that. One day she saw my picture and I quote. She said holy **** your hot. 

 

It's weird how some girls aren't attracted to a person at first with their personality. I hope it's not entirely based off looks. But within two minutes of seeing my picture. She had quickly sent me some half nude pictures of herself. Before that we were friends for months. She didn't show any interest. So maybe it is based off looks. If it is I don't want it to be. I want be with someone based on their personality not how they look. This took place off steam.

Well, I'm glad I met my husband the way I did because our relationship got based on personality and friendship. By the time i knew what he looked like, it didn't matter at all, i was already mad about him. Without sounding too horrible, i probably never would have given him a chance had i just met him somewhere in real life, and what an idiot I would have been missing out on an amazing guy.

Yeah.  Starting a relationship online is just as valid as any other means of getting in touch with someone.  In my case it almost didn't happen, she sent me an email and being my usual lazy-arse self, I didn't reply to it for months.  We eventually met up, and here we still are together after more than 15 years.  Yay etc.

I never had a romantic relationship via BSN, though one guy (from BSN) used the forums as a platform from which to stalk me. Didn't even know the guy. He followed me onto every other social network and sent me daily private messages. His messages were... weird. Sometimes they were downright obsessive, demanding my attention. Other times they were begging for sex and a relationship. At first, I assumed he was just pranking me, but after a long while I realized that he was just insane.
 
In the end I just felt pity for him. It was kind of a Frodo-Gollum situation. lmfao

It needn't be a problem: okay, easy for me to say, we were only 100 miles apart (though I'm still officially Not A Fan of driving and travelling in general) but I do know of other internet couples where someone's moved to another country to be with their new partner, sometimes a very distant one.  And still lived happily ever after.

It's weird. I was torn between f*cking with him out of irritation, and backing off/leaving him alone out of pity. My conscience got the better of me and I did the latter. 

 

I noticed females online get a ton more attention then guys in certain aspects. For example. My one guy friend has a FB set up. He has maybe 200 friends. My female friend has some "cute sexy pictures posing for the camera" she has over a thousand. She tells me she gets daily messages from guys wanting to meet her and do stuff with her.

 

My point is it seems like girls get a ton more attention online. Alot of it is unwanted. There are normal guys out there like on the BSN network.
