Well it is filled with just that very thing. Go browse into the DA:I section for five minutes and tell me otherwise. And the old BSN was better than the new and "improved" site which removed a lot of features. That is simple fact. More features > less features. Also the replacements for people who leave aren't up to spec. No offense intended.

 

Of course it has always sucked here, but it sucked less then, which is the point of reminding you how terrible this.

 

And the behavior of the grognards is a lot less of a circle jerk than what goes in with threads like this where some people write a whole lot of bull that simply doesn't reflect reality. It's the duty of the grognard to correct that.

In any sense, people aren't the same in person as they are online. They may not be night and day different, but they can be. Besides, dating a person in real life is a huge shift in any relationship. Same as becoming physical with a person. Same as living with a person. Etc.

Just because you are compatible in one environment (online setting) does not guarantee you will click in any other environment. Just a thought.

I dunno, I've met an awful lot of people I first knew online and most have been exactly as you'd expect, though most are a bit quieter IRL. Then again, I've only met people I've got to know reasonably well, for the most part.

First RL encounter with an internet person was 1987 (not including a more unsavoury local encounter that was entirely my fault for being a standard mouthy teen). God I feel old.
