Sure I get made fun of, and I have to hide my **** in the backroom when people are over, but in the long run, I think it makes the relationship more stable.

I think it can work pretty well. Mainly you just want to avoid raiding together in MMOs, especially if one of you has authority in the guild. That rarely ever ends well.

 

In my experience it works best when you're playing co-op games together, or team based PvP games on the same team.

I meant on the gaming front. There are other things that can be shared interests.

We had a couple in our guild that started dating back in the day. They got in a big fight on vent during a raid too.

I recall being in a guild with a couple that sstarted dating online back when they were 12. They had been living together for about eight years, and had recently gotten married when I joined said guild. Unfortunately, she was a hopeless flirt, and they got involved into a certain lifestyle which led to them getting a rather messy (and guild involved) divorce.

 

It provided me with endless amusement because I'm evil like that.

Moral of the story: Stick to male only raiding guilds. Works best, the least amount of drama and attracts the older male gamers who just game to have a moment away from their waifus. And make sure there's scots in there, every good guild needs scottish people.
