I use "least favorite" because i dont really "hate" any of them.

Merrill in Dragon Age 2. I dont dislike her. I just hate how shes basically a completly different person than in dragon age origins. In Origins she was basically a serious, stern keeper apprentice. In Dragon Age 2 shes an quirky, ludicrously naive pixie girl. The whole transformation just seems really weird. Im not really foind of how they changed the dalish clans american accents to dalish accents either.

Sebastian. I dont hate him. She has a fairly intresting personal quest and i like how he basically invades kirkwall if you spare Anders.

My main gripe is just that he doesnt fit into the group dynamic of the characters in dragon age 2. Every other playabnle companion has some sort of "Relationship dynamic" with the other playable characters. Sebastian (as a DLC character) is just like a bland outsider who doesnt fit in. It just seems like a wasted opportunity considering that his story had potential.

Wynne. Out of all the companion characters in Origins Wynne is the most dull. I think the main reason for this is that there no real "inner conflict" in her character arc. Shes basically just a selfrighteous mentor to the warden who constantly tells him/her whats the right thing to do. Oh and she gives some "Inspiring" comments about how she doesnt fear her imminent death. Her loyalty mission is also dull. She basically just find her old elven student (which she was an ass to long ago) only to realise that he has already forgiven her. It would have been alot more effective if he hated her and wouldnt forgive her. That would give her some intresting character development, and could have made her question her own character and morals. I still think she works ok as a character. Shes just kinda dull compared to the other characters.

Sera. My main gripe with Sera is that she dont really have a fleshed out character arc. The only real backstory she has is her story about her adoptive mother and her cookies. This doesnt have to be a bad thing. I sort like "Average Joes" who basically have no "Tragic backstory/dilemma" that the main character need to help them with. I liked Oghren in Origins because of this. He was basically just an alcholist warrior dwarf that was heartbroken because his wife had abandoned him. My main gripe with Sera is that shes basically reduced to being a "Comic relief". Shes basically a spoiled brat who makes "Funny" comments whenever she speaks. Oghren is compareison had "Funny" moments when he was drunk, but i never felt that he was reduced into ONLY being a "Comic relief character" (Well...... until awakenings was released). I still dont hate Sera. Shes just feels like a DLC character who dont have any real effect on the overall game experience.

I don't really have any I "hate" either, but guess i'll have a try:

Origins: Dog - Just didn't see the appeal. Had a couple funny moments. Think he only found a slot in 2 out of 9 of my teams.
Oghren: Again, didn't catch the hype. Funnier than dog, but after hearing all his jokes, he's just boring on the next playthrough.

Awakening: Sigrun: She was a bit bland for my tastes.

DA:2: Anders: Only for the fact that his personality changed so much. Making him a whiney so-and-so was not a smart choice... Did like the Justice situation though.

Inquisition: Varric: I don't know what happened, but man, Varric got hella boring between DA:2 and Inquisition.
Sera: She's just TOO quirky. And I see no logical reason that she'd ever actually get into the Inquidition lol

In Dragon Age Origins i liked all of them, if i had to choose i would say the dog :P sorry can't pick.

In Dragon Age 2 i didn't like Sebastian because he wasn't interesting to me, and Merril second because i wanted more from the character and i was dissapointed. Dragon Age Inquisition had great characters, if i had to choose my least favorite i would say Cole, but i still think he is cool.

Oghren, his jokes are opposite of funny.

Sten, he's boring.

Sera, she's annoying at times.

I don't dislike anyone of DA2 companions.

From non-companions I dislike Duncan, Loghain, Howe, somehow Anora, Elthina.. and some random characters.

I also don't like Oghren, Sten, Wynne, Velanna, Bethany, Solas, and Iron Bull.

Fenris.

He looks like he's from some Asian MMO (complete with skinny build / giant weapon combo), his tacky mysterious-loner-waiting-on-someone-to-rescue-his-dark-soul-from-darkness arc fits that same bill, and the first thing he does after tricking you into helping him was insult your sister. No thanks, kid.

The entire premise is so tryhard "not like the others", he seems very disconnected from the franchise. The timeframe seems about right argueing Gaider was in the middle of Twillight when he wrote him.

The Iron Bull - I'm not 100% sure why, but he just completely failed to grab me. It might just be because I have little interest in the Qun, but his struggle with its precepts bored me. I thought I'd like him and hate Sera pre-release, but the opposite turned out to be true, I adore Sera.

Cullen. Hated him in Orgins with his insane ravings and his annoying shy guy nonsense when I made a female mage. I loathed working with him in DA2. I was fully prepared to kill him for taking Bethany to the circle. I was denied vengenace. Aaand I absolutely hate hearing his "advice" at the war table. I hold firmly that he got to where he is via fangirls. I don't like that I have to put up with him. And if I can't get rid of him I will take solace in tormenting him via his Lyrium problem.

Dragon Age Origins: Wynne she wouldn't shut up or mind her own business.  Great healer though so you had to take her places.

DA:2  Merrill she is one of the few characters I loathed from a moral perspective.  It was all about her having her way, her obsession, and **** everyone else.  Her actions led to how many people in her clan being killed or hurt?  No matter what anyone said she would still truck with demons.

Anders.  I loved him in Awakenings, I even liked him in Act I.  Even though I was a mage and agreed with him on how they were treated it was like, Dude, STFU already.  We heard you the first five thousand times.  Then Act III when he lies to get you to help him with his bullshit.  GRRRR

Inquisition: I would have kept the Chargers and gotten rid of Bull. I like the one that's "not a mage" and I like Krem better than Bull, too.  He seemed to like to drink mead.  I like mead.  Anyway, I didn't like Solas either.  His know-it-all-ness was grating.  Leliana I would have dismissed from duty the first time she got shitty with me.

Which is too bad because I liked her in DA:O.

Oh, and for DAO, Zevran.
I found his mannerisms annoying and it generally felt like he was trying too hard. Didn't see the appeal.

I guess I'd say Anders for DA2, his hang ups just got incredibly annoying. Fenris was bad for this too, to a lesser extent. Fenris didn't trick one of his few friends into helping him commit an act of terror.

Sera.

Just... ugh. I want to kill myself every time I have a conversation with her. She's so immature and self-righteous, and the game gives you no chance to seriously punish her for her actions. Where's the option to put her to death for murder?

I mean, we got the option to let Blackwall die, but not Sera?

DA:O Leliana, Wynne. Neither recruited, and both can ****** right off. Busy body Chantry shrews, no thanks.

DA:2 Anders, Merrill, Fenris. My Hawke apparently just stuck with rogues and Aveline. Whine whine whine WHINE WHINE WOE IS ME. Meanwhile, my mage!Hawke is drinking with Varric and telling dirty jokes with Isabela to make Sebastian and Aveline blush.

DA:I Sera and Solas. Not even once. Both of them have their heads so far up their butts that my extremely mellow, sweetheart, chilled out dalish mage wants to throw them off the battlements of Skyhold.

Oghren in DAO - annoying waste of a party space,

Velanna - she was such a grump (murderous one at that!) and her voice was very irritating. I didn't want to be around her at all.

Tallis in DA2 - could not stand her voice, her looks, and her stupid way of thinking

Vivienne - such a horrible, horrible person

edit: added in Velanna, once I was reminded of her

That's what makes her awesome.

No, that's what makes her insufferable.  BTW I liked both Wynne and Anders so this is simply a question of personal taste, hope you can respect that.
