At the moment my least favourite character is Alistair.
He used to be my canon love interest, but eventually my rose-tinted glasses broke and I came to find his constant whining, childishness and selfishness very grating.
I don't like the term "least favorite" specifically because I feel that still implies that I like them, just less so than the rest.
I have characters I don't like and am just neutral on, and I have characters that I actively dislike.
There are several on both lists, though not nearly so many as on my favorite's list.
But if I were to say the one character I hate, it would be Bianca Davri. This woman is the most blatant attempt at Bioware trying way too hard to get us to like a character. She's sassy and snarky, she's a better smith than Branka, Dagna, or Wade; she's a better shot than Varric. She's invaluable to the Merchant's guild to the point that they'll kill Varric if he's within 300 leagues of her. She invented a one of a kind crossbow that no one can replicate, but she could mass produce if she wants but she's too good to do that because she's afraid of the death it will cause - forget about the advantage that it would give Orzammar against the Darkspawn. Even her f*ck-ups are presented as something we should forgive because they ultimately benefit us in revealing that Red Lyrium is blighted.
It gets worse upon reading World of Thedas vol. 2 where it's revealed that Paragon talk wasn't BS; this dwarf is a one woman industrial revolution that's single-handedly turning Thedas into a steampunk setting off screen with her inventions, and is legitimately up for a paragon vote, which would make her the first surface dwarf to become a paragon if it passes, with her inventions shifting the entire balance of power in dwarven society. But of course she doesn't care about it at all, because she's just above all that.
And despite that, with all the knowledge perks we get, we've never heard anything about her because she needs to be mysterious as well.
And of course, she can threaten the Inquisitor and we don't even get the chance to respond to it.
She is the single most sue-ish, over the top, "LOOK AT THIS CHARACTER AND HOW AWESOME SHE IS" character I have ever seen Bioware write for outside of their protagonists, and even including some of their protagonists.
I hate Fiona. I hate Michel. I have a strong dislike for Cole. I don't like Sera or Solas or Aveline or Wynne. But I loathe Bianca.
OMG. I think she may have very well surpassed both Leliana AND Liara in Mary Sue-ism. Which probably means she'll be in DA4 as a companion you cannot get rid of. .....Oh deary.
oops, wrong thread
Anders, Velanna, Bianca, Sebastian
Anders, Velanna, Bianca, Sebastian
I also forgot to add Fiona. It was her comments about the Grey Wardens (after Here Lies the Abyss if you allied with them) that made me want to slit her throat.
It's weird, because a lot of characters I didn't like the first time around (Leliana, Isabela...) have become some of my favorites. Usually if I dislike a character, I drag them around with me everywhere to hear all their dialogue, how they interact with other companions, how they respond to certain quests, etc. until I better understand them as characters and then voila, I become immeasurably fond of them.
The only exception is Anders. I've tried so hard to like him and I've had whole playthroughs where he's hardly left my party, but every time he talks I just want to throw him out the airlock.

You like/dislike what you like/dislike. Never apologize. I make no apologies for hating Sebastian with every fiber of my being. He's the literal worst. And he's overcompensating with that belt buckle.
The more I play DAI the less I like Solas. Especially after Trespasser. Solas can suck it.

I've had pretty much the same reaction in all of the DA games.
First time playing Origins I hated Sten and Zevran. Sten made no sense to me, everything I said to him got me disapproval. I didn't trust Zev and was constantly expecting him to turn on me. In Awakening I didn't care for Nathaniel or Velanna. Didn't trust Nate, he was a Howe, and I figured he was going to betray me. Velanna.... I just didn't like her at all. Everything about her rubbed me the wrong way.
DA2 I hated everybody except for Varric the first time I played the game. Izzy was dressed skimpy and made sex jokes all of the time -- how one dimensional. Fenris hated mages and was grumpy. Aveline was a know-it-all pushy do gooder. Carver was so whiny. Merrill was a naive blood mage. Seb at first I was like "omg that accent and he is so handsome, I am so going to romance him!" Yeah nope. Nope nope nope. I changed my mind pretty darn quickly on that.
DAI I couldn't stand Sera.
In every single one of these instances I grew to love those characters, except for two of them. Velanna and Sebastian. I have tried. I really have.
I couldn't stand Sebastian until you tell him you will not kill Anders, and then he finally grows a backbone threatening to return to Starkhaven. It was the only time in the whole game I respected him. He stood up for what he thought was right and finally took control over his own life.
Sera and Fenris are the only two characters I pretty much never interacted with unless I had to. I don't really like anything about either of them. Their voice work is top notch tho, so its a shame I can't stand their characters.
Characters I really dislike would have to include Oghren, Shale, and Velanna.
But characters I find boring and so hence rarely interact with would include Bull, Josie, and Harding.
Tbh I loved everyone in DA2, though my least favorite is probably Carver.
The only exception is Anders. I've tried so hard to like him and I've had whole playthroughs where he's hardly left my party, but every time he talks I just want to throw him out the airlock.

LOL, I like Anders as a character, and I still feel this way about him most of the time ![]()
Honestly, I prefer disliking a character over finding them boring. Boring is the worst. Boring is a waste of VA and budget that could have gone somewhere else. At least if I want to punch a character's lights out, they've made me feel something. And Oghren is the only major DA character who bored me. The rest all registered some sort of emotional response.
I.Hate.Oghren.
Next in line would be Anders (or what was left of him post Awakening).
Oghren is one of my favorites, but I definitely understand why people don't like him.

Interestingly, I have the exact same opinion about Velanna.
Bianca, Sera, Merrill, Velanna, and Florainne
edit: sorry characters I loathe (hate not strong enough)
DAO .. Anora and Loghain 1,000,000% each ( I know they're npc's) Arl Eamon and Arlessa Isolde a close seceond. at about 500,000% each
DA2 .. Anders such a whiner (seriously wtf happened between DAA and DA2?)
DAI .. Vivi and Arl Teagan ( and I really liked him to in DAO)
2nd edit: whoops forgot Fiona (such a hypocrite)
Oghren is one of my favorites, but I definitely understand why people don't like him.
Talis, horrible character that existed to drain intelligence of other characters to near brain death just to look competent.
Then she is followed followed by Leliana , another horrible character that is writers pet and mary sue not only she is forced onto us even if we killed her and then revived because she is writers pet , but she can ****** on us without any consequences. We aren't even allowed to call her on her screw ups and when we do narrative and characters jump in her defense how she did nothing wrong and continue to treat her as greatest thing ever and worst, she butchers setting and complex conflicts because of devs massive bias toward her.
Then Bianca for obvious reasons.
That would be top 3.
Im not into poorly written characters, such characters outweight just dislike i have for characters personality.
Sten.
Talking with him reminded me of my grandfather's lectures about how women are only good for cleaning, cooking and whelping burdensome mouths to feed.
Admittedly, I probably have a chip on my shoulder, so I just leave Sten in the cage. It's for the best.
Pretty much how I feel about him to. Bull has the position of being the only Weekes character across ME an DA that I dont like. He just reminds me of a sweaty cool bro dude that says they have depth but are really just bleugh so they talk themselves up to much.
Would have loved to have seen an in character Qunari that maybe had little quirks like Bull has? Would have been funny for a straight faced Qunari to slip and make a stupid dad joke or be bawdy out of nowhere. Instead he's just another jockish character. To be fair I did try to like him, dragged him around with me and some of his banter is great. His banter with Solas is my fave Bull banter. Him wanting to pull his face off at Solas' immovable stubborn opinions is how I feel sometimes too. (I agree with Solas on his opinions of the qun, but its still funny)
I just thought of him but I think an awesome Qunari companion could have been Maraas. The Qunari we meet on the Wounded Coast who ends up working as a merc in the Hanged Man. He seems like the type that would have had some quirks to him. He named himself "Nothing" lol!
As for IB:
Yeah, I think it's the dudebro character that just sort of grates with me, and I hate the overly boasting types, especially when they don't have much to show for it. It makes me not believe a word that comes out of their mouths. A part of me wonders if the Qun really is as powerful as Bull says and could take Tevinter at any moment (if they would just wear their full armor) or he just doesn't want to admit his countrymen are getting stalemated by a bunch of flashy blood mages.
