If I play a DW Rogue, all I want to do is reroll Mage.
If I roll Mage, all I want to do is reroll DW Rogue.

I'm currently unable to dedicate myself to one, because no matter what I pick or play - I want to reroll the other. I'm so tormented by this atm that I am unable to play at all and instead use all my time theory-crafting and reading the forums :( I'm playing Dota 2 matches and using that time to decide / think it over. Instead I only "deepen" the wound by causing a greater want for both classes.

I need hardcore-Altoholic help here. With my studies I only have time for one more NM completionist playthrough, then its a break until summer vacation. But at this rate I'll end up with no playthroughs at all!

I NEED HELP! >.<

I'm exactly the same. While I'm playing a warrior, I start thinking about DW rogue builds. Then i re-roll as a rogue, and wish my inquisitor was a mage for lore and PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWAH.

I guess we could start an Altoholics Anonymous.

Hi, I'm Gya, and I'm an altoholic.

I've experienced a similar feeling in several attempted playthroughs. When I play a mage I end up wanting to stealth around, get up close and take out enemies one by one; and when I play a rogue I feel like strategizing from a distance, controlling the enemy and helping my party members. I'm planning a KE playthrough when patch 6/TBE comes out so that I can sort of alternate between melee and ranged play, as well as between direct damage and support.

Glad to see I'm not alone at least. May our joined suffering will provide comfort :P

@Jedi: Doesent work! Im a completionist. MUST HAVE EVERY SHARD!
@Gya: Ouch, if you want all THREE classes then you are even worse off :(

Solution is in front of you.  Switch between DW rogue and Archer.  I'm not sure of your specialization, but if you go Artificer the elemental mines gives that mage vibe and the Tempest has slow-time, frost flask (acts like a frost bomb for DW).

OR

Go Knight Enchanter on your mage.  Then you can do melee or range easily.

So running with a companion for a while in the same PT isn't enough of a fix? In my first PT as a Rift mage, I ran Sera as a respeced DW rogue for several hours to get a feel for the class, then ran my second PT as a Tempest DW rogue. In that second PT, I ran Viv as a KE mage for several hours, then ran my third PT as a KE mage. Try before you buy.

Haha, I have this issue with my Mage and my Warrior. When I'm playing my KE Mage, I wanna tank and so control Blackwall at all times. When I'm playing my Champion Warrior, I wanna be a mage and control Vivienne all the time. Kind of sad really. And I haven't even TOUCHED rogues yet.....
