Hi guys. Being self thought in Shakespere's tongue having learned with TV and video games, (bought my SNES with Final fantasy II and didn't know much English back then) i am curious as to why the word blessed is pronounced differently then i have heard all my life.
Always thought the e before the d was silent. Like you say markt not mar-ked....
Anyone kind enough to clarify this for me.
Cheers and have a good weekend.
pardon my English....just curious

It's pronounced both ways. Bless-ed and bless-d. (bless-ed is just more old fashioned)
