Wanted to set the team as Cassandra, sera and vivienne.

Not sure if AI can handle KE action well, and wouldn't it be too much if I have 3 melee in team?

Any suggestions? I don't mind being OP or whatever

Two knight enchanters, a warrior and a rogue will do fine. Just remember to set up your preferred skills/spells and you're good to go.

The AI does not handle preferred Spirit Blade well. It will use it, but not spam it the way you would controlling the character.

Having two KE looks good on paper, but I think playing them would be tedious. You'd have to micromanage every Fade Step and practically every Spirit Blade attack. Not my idea of fun. Better to use the slot in the party for a barrier bot and CC mage, like Solas.

2 KE are fine.  Spec viv for support and your own KE for damage.  Look up KineticGTR's Knight Enchanter 2.0 support build.  It works fantastic.  Set Viv's focus to enabled as well and she'll keep your team from dying while you put the hurt on enemies.  Just don't expect the AI controlled KE to be a dps power house.

I usually set Vivienne to spam barrier and spirit blade and protect the tank. She will run after the tank and enemies will mostly be at melee range. AI handles her pretty well (worse than you would, of course).

I just don't think party of 2 KE is that effective, tbh. Finished my nightmare run with tank, 2 archers and Inquisitor KE. Things died pretty fast.

Yeah when I did my nightmare KE run I found Viv to be rather redundant, Solas for CC and Barrier spam works better, also kept Varric for cool down reduction (I had a lot of +crit chance weapons). After a while I didn't even bother to keep barrier on my main's skill bar. Between upgrade mindblast and fade cloak I never needed it.

Thanks for all the suggestions. the idea seems to be interesting enough so I will give it a try.

Checked KineticGTR's support build but it seems to be designed for exclusive KE play.

I plan to remove some of the active skills (fade step, fade cloak) etc. and use some good CC skill instead, maybe Winter grasp, thoughts?

Furthermore, I plan to stick her with the archer (hold position) and act as an off-off-tank. Any skill to peel the threat off archer?

Thanks again.
