The only thing that Morrigan initiates is the Dark Ritual. Even if you have sex with her and break it off afterwards, it's initiated by the Warden. The "romance" romance is by no means whatsoever started from her end. 

 

Well technically no romance is initiated from DA:O character ends... one playthrough I forgot to talk to Alistair at all and then was like oh.. nothing is going to happen here.. but yeah I still just mean in like.. conversation.. she seemed more prone to questioning and prodding me versus other members, especially by comparison to someone like Leliana who struck me as shy to the point of not even really ever expressing her pure personality or desires at all (except for the Ashes basically). Sure, she was more willing to have sex first, but I don't measure a person's willingness to pursue or be pursued by how frequently or quickly they have sex basically.

 

Anyway, my point was just that she struck me as neither a pursuer nor wanting to be pursued necessarily, not necessarily that she was this gung-ho Isabella Cyrus figure.

 

The reason I said that is because while I hope for the same kind of thing (and even pointed out the passivity of several characters prior to DA:I's release), I don't really like Isabella/Ander's figures either which just (in my opinion) seem to veer to the other extreme.

I'm a little nervous about posting this, because I know a lot of people are sick of topics about love interests and mock them, but I would really love it if in the next game we could see a return of the more forward LI. 

 

I know that Anders and Isabela were pretty bold, and that some people complained about that with Anders. I know that the devs have said that they probably wouldn't have an LI make the first move again. 

 

The thing is, I'm pretty shy, and I really like to play characters who are more quiet and introverted too.

 

I would really really like it if the next had a male LI who would play the aggressor a little. What are your thoughts? 

 

You know, I think that's an excellent idea. Why can't the NPC's approach YOU and show interest. Why can't they come find you in the game and start up conversations, be it in the wilds or wherever. Why is it always us that has to engage conversation.

 

Instead of talking between themselves, like normal banter, sometimes they could engage you with their banter...

Bioware has sort of started this in DAI with the interactive banter, letting the Inquisitor chime in. 

 

The game even has Varric in the prologue direct a banter at you about your background.

Agreed, I want someone who has crush on PC. Someone who flirts with PC before PC flirts to them. Someone who confesses to PC.

 

Of course, I'd want it to be someone I like back.
