I see many different (or not so different ... eh, semantics) "what are you listening to" topics around here in the Offtopic section and whilst I like to occasionally just browse and listen to some new stuff randomly (you never know what gem you might find after all), I was thinking something with more direction could be a welcome addition to the music junkies around here.
So without much further ado and straight to the point: recommend artists you think are worth listening to.
To keep this informative and not turn into the next iteration of "what are you listening to", I'd like to set a rough standard format for everyone to go along:
First of all, I want people to recommend artists, not individual tracks. You are free to include a link to a track you think represents the artists or is particularily recommendable to listen to in order to get interest peaked, but if you do so, please give people the necessary information to find the rest of the artists' discography so if they are interested, they can find the rest without much hazzle.
Also, please give an outline about the artists' you recommend so people can quick check if they're interested or not. That includes noting their genre(s), what language for the vocals, any peculiar aspects/oddities worth mentioning, etc. pp.. So if someone's looking for a specific genre, they should have an easy time looking through posts to find something.
Lastly, please keep it cropped to a manageable degree. Most people have several artists they like and I know a couple people whose music library is downright monstrous. So in order to keep things readable (or simply not forum-breaking), please stick to a single, or only a couple artists per comment if you can't/won't say much about each single one.
I'll go ahead and start with the last group that got me hook, line and sinker:

Diable Swing Orchestra
Genres: Experimental-/ Avantgarde Metal
Generous with using elements from anything Metal, Jazz and Swing. Tracks are usually one of two kinds, either dominant Metal with using various elements from the other music genres like Jazz, etc. to spice things up (think headbanging to trumpets and violins) or dominant Jazz/Swing with using Metal elements (think getting the dance-mood to Metal Tango). Has a penchant for odd track titles (Exit Strategy Of A Wrecking Ball
).
Albums (link to Candlelight Records' Bandcamp page for each DSO Album, you can listen to each song for the albums there):
Song-Along Songs For The Damned & Delirious - 2009
And then there's their latest single (which is apparently trying to coin the genre Disco Metal), with new female lead vocals (Kristin Evegård succeeds AnnLouice Lögdlund).
As far as I am aware, this is their entire discography.
Like and recommend away, folks!
