Anyone else think that we should get a mobile game on Android/iOS to give us something new while we wait for the trilogy remaster/ME4?

I actually wouldn't mind something along the lines of Heroes of Dragon Age. Description:

"Heroes of Dragon Age is a freemium game released for iOS and Android devices. The game lets players purchase and collect 3D figures of key characters (called "heroes" in the game) from Dragon Age, form them into a squad, and then battle human and AI-controlled foes. The game functions as a squad-based strategy game with the battles played out automatically and the outcome contingent upon the selection of characters in the five-person party, their abilities and formation on the battlefield, as well as any runes that are buffing the team."

They could literally retool the game with a Mass Effect theme. All of the work for the generic characters is done as well thanks to ME3 multiplayer (e.g. Turian Soldier, Asari Adept, Salarian Infiltrator, etc.) Examples:

Common:
Geth Trooper
Batarian War Beast

Uncommon:
Asari Vanguard
Quarian Engineer

Rare:
N7 Paladin
Krogan Warlord

Epic:
Aria T'Loak
Matriarch Benezia

Legendary:
Garrus Vakarian
Mordin Solus

I know there's some who automatically wouldn't like the idea due to potential microtransactions, but Heroes of Dragon Age is a solid mobile game with an average score of 4.2. If they followed it's formula, it could be a nice way to bring all of the characters together, alive or dead, into a setting that doesn't necessarily have to be dictated by canon.

Obviously, these are just my thoughts. I'd just like to see *something* on the mobile market again.

Chances are that they are already making a mobile game based on Mass Effect. But it is more likely to be released somewhere prior to the next Mass Effect coming out.

Personally I don't give much thought to mobile games, but it's a good prospect for EA. They get to make money on an established IP, rookies get to work up the industry line, and a mobile game can help generate interest for the next big game.

Which was a poorly executed game that is now barely compatible with any modern device, hence the need for a new game.

I really want a Telletale Mass Effect series far more than some tacky card/turn based microtransaction storefront thinly disguised as a reskin of another more popular crappy mobile game which we will probably get.

You needn't be confined to mobiles and tablets when you can create a stopgap title for all platforms that everyone - even non-gamers can enjoy. It's clearly a business model that works - even for HBO. Give the Telltale guys a call and I reckon the Mass Effect series would be an obvious choice for them... an easier property to adapt than Borderlands IMO because it's story driven series with a much richer universe and characters with so much more diversity in setting and factions with more established lore and concept art than you can shake a stick at. Perfect fit.

I didn't really like Infiltrator or Galaxy that much. I wouldn't mind if some small studio made another forgettable mobile game as long as the core experience stays on the big monitors.

I would enjoy a Mass Effect on PSP Vita. A Vita is in on the same level as the original X-box from 2001. It should be able to handle a Mass Effect game with somewhat decent graphics. I can imagine running around on the Citadel or Normandy, and talking to people -- all while sitting at my favorite fast food restaurant.
