I'm sure this is a common problem amongst RPG players (and feel free to redirect me to another thread if one already exists). I've had it badly with Skyrim, and now it's also starting with DA:I. I played a male character first, and actually finished the game. Then I wanted a female character so she could romance Cullen, but after about 20 hours with that character I lost interest in her and wanted to do something different. I've done the tutorial for countless times already and I'm getting seriously sick of the Hinterlands.

For the people also suffering from this, when do you decide you want to do something differently, and how many times have you rolled the tutorial? How many times have you explored the Hinterlands?

I feel your pain. I've been in the Hinterlands so much that I could probably run the map blindfolded. I'll be super happy when BE goes live and I can tweak my characters' appearances and be done with this whole "omg her eyeliner is all wrong - DELETE AND REROLL" crap.   :P

When I was eight years old I used to do nothing but make new characters over and over again in Icewind Dale.

I'm an adult now. I have thirty Inquisitors recorded in the Keep.

help me

You don't have to stay in the Hinterlands. Grab mother Giselle and then LEAVE.

You'd still have the Storm Coast, the Fallow Mire, and the Forbidden Oasis (if you find the shards). You can always go back the Hinterlands later if you feel like it.

I've told the story before but, I restarted 15 hours in because I didn't like my character's jawline. I have no clue how many Inquis' I have in the keep, but it's a lot.

I just checked. I have 34 Inquis' in the keep. I've beaten the game twice, and have another Warrior at level 14, and one I'm currently playing.

I can't count the number of times I've been through the tutorial.  Suffice it to say, I have all of the dialogue burned into my brain.

The Keep has 64 Inquisitors recorded for me, and I've only completed the game fully once.  I've gotten a good ways into it about three other times though.

I've done the prologue 10 times, Hinterlands 8. I actually deleted some of the characters because I hate the Hinterlands.

Well, I don't feel as bad about the 7-8 character I've made then, though I've still only beaten it twice and only gotten to Skyhold 4 times.  And the Hinterlands - augh!

I'm now trying to level up before doing the Skyhold thingy, but the only areas I have unlocked are areas I've already been to a 100 times. But! I wanted to start again yesterday, but instead I respecced (?) my character! :D Small victories!

According to the Keep, I have created 42 Inquisitors.  I have completed 3 playthroughs and just started my 4th.  I think I have chronic restartitis!

I recently spent an entire night (from around midnight to 6am) just pre-generating characters in BG2 for the future. I made 15 of them. I'm only in chapter 2 of Shadows of Amn in my current run.

I've made so many inquisitors. I usually get to around the Halamshiral portion and then switch.

And I still haven't finished the game once.

Yes, it's better to come off the wagon gradually! (Or should that be get on the wagon?)

I have 14 Inquisitors with only one completed playthrough under my belt. I always end up changing my mind just after getting to Skyhold on what character I want to play so then I start another game over. It's a very vicious cycle.
