From what I overhear in the forum, it seems like something's unique about Tsent's tech armor. I've also come across players who frequently detonate it, although I think I haven't seen the same strategy done with other sentinels.
Is there something different about this guy?

One of the greatest ME3 vids there is.  If you take what Bruce shows you it's capable of, and then use it as a complementary power to your more appropriate weapons in a real game environment it's brilliant.  It's why I always spec 4a on the TSent.  Always.

Krogan Tech Armor has a wider AOE because his ass is wider to start with.

Human Sentinel Tech Armor is deadliest, it's the only Tech Armor character I've seen get a killstreak with it. It's just a shame Clyde wasn't recording when it happened.

I regularly do Tech Armor games though, which was suggested to me long ago by one HeroicMass. I thought it was dumb when he said it, and it is, but damn if it ain't the most fun I have playing this game.

 

I don't TSent tech armor that much unless phantom in sync range. Otherwise, how could I pass up those passives?

Barrier is a much better offensive power than Tech Armor.  Should be fun game.  There's an animation glitch where when you detonate barrier and then do a krogan heavy melee, the heavy melee animation frequently doesn't play.  You still hear the crunch and the mook still goes flying across the map, but you get to claim innocence should any police be in the area.  Quite lol-worthy.

Haha yeah, nice perspective.  I'd probably just breed them as melee-training fodder at my Krogan military school.

Exactly. Wish more folks around here looked for fun way to play certain kits instead of always taking the optimum route. So... looks I'll need to find another reset card to check out this so called fun tech armour action.

I used to use Barrier all the time, pretty sure it primes health if memory serves. But I'd be down for an all-Barrier game, no doubt.
