And again, what's the point of buying a game for 20% of the cost if it barely works/doesn't work? Not to mention that more and more games are console exclusives now. PC is dying, and if you don't believe that now you'll believe it in ten years.

Yeah, people have been saying that for decades. And PC games nearly always work after initial patches just a month or so after release - don't let Bioware's ramshackle work give you the impression of how things really work.

The number of console exclusives is greatly out shadowed by the number of PC exclusives. Some of my "must have games" of this year are never going to be out on consoles.

Not going to get into a "console vs. PC war," but if you honestly think PC gaming is dying, then I'm sorry, but you'd be wrong.

In related news, Dead or Alive 5 Last Round for PC will be released tomorrow (March 30th) on Steam.

It's missing the new "soft engine" that's used on the PS4 and the Xbox One version. It's also missing the two new stages, it's terribly optimized, and it's most likely full of bugs despite the delay.

So you're essentially paying $40 for a PS3/Xbox 360 version of Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, but the good news is, you'll be able to download user-made nude mods for it in the foreseeable future.

I'm really horrified right now.

My oldest HDD I'm still using is a Seagate 1.5TB and have been noisy since the beginning (4 years ago). I really liked my older Quantum and Maxtor HDDs though.

Now the transfer rate from my other drives to Seagate drives can drop to 0.5-5 mb/s after several hundreds mb of transferring data (it should be at least 20mb/s).

This situation is started after I got a SSD and installed windows 8.1

 

Is it possible that my motherboard can't maintain 2 HDDs and 1 SSD?

Is it the fault of Win 8.1?

Is it possible that my HDD is dying? If so what should I do with my 1300 GB Data?!

I've been playing on consoles since the early 90s and only recently started PC gaming (about 2 years and some months ago) and I can honestly say that I really do prefer PC. I currently have 238 games on Steam and I've probably invested a total of 250 dollars tbh. All kinds of games are on sale every day and Humble Bundle is also fantastic (not to mention a portion of your money to HB goes to charity). I could care less about modding or better graphics. Just give me games and let me play them.

I'm currently gaming on a 500 dollar laptop and I can play just about anything. Here soon I'm finally getting a rig though, but it's being built thus it's cheaper.

 

Another thing I love about PC gaming is that when I need to upgrade, I can just buy what part I need to upgrade instead of just buying a whole new system. That's what I think is annoying about consoles, every some years they come out with a new console thus the one you have will become crap fairly shortly. I'm frugal as f**k tbh thus I really appreciate how cheap PC gaming can be in the long run.

 

But alas, I am no PC elitest. Hybrid master race imo. Plan to get a WiiU and PS4 in the future. Right now I just game on my PC, 3DS, GameCube and occasionally bust out the N64.
