I love the characters in Pillars. They appear bland at first glance, but become much more interesting after you spend a little time traveling with them. The banter is also very well-written.

I liked Sigani. At first it seemed like she was on a standard quest to hunt someone down for revenge. I was severely wrong, in a surprising and pleasant way.

Welp looks like people are deep enough in the game that the bugs are starting to pile-up.

I had a weird bug, the first one actually. Sometimes my wolf companion disappears and the portrait goes white. No amount of reloading, exiting the game helps. I have to revert to old save all the time.

I love her culture, the tundra with its hunting tribes.

I also like the fact that she isnt your stereotypical dwarf, she could have been any race and her story would not have changed. Actually, I find it refreshing that PoE goes around classical racial stereotypes. No "elves are frolicking skinnies that should live in the trees", or "dwarves are drunks that supposed to live underground" sort of thing.

I think Durance's quest is bugged for me. Which is a shame.

Yeah I know what you mean. I am still trying to get my bearings in all the brand new lore and such. It needs some effort on my part - which is fine.

Dragon Age isn't that bad when it comes to drunk dwarves living under ground either. We have Oghren, of course. But Sigrun, Dagna, Harding and Varic all feel rather unique.

Try talking to him periodically. He keeps ending my conversations because he's sick of talking, but if I wait long enough, I can ask him more questions.

I got the trigger that says to talk to him about (a certain event). He then got the dialogue option available icon. However, no dialogue option came up.

Do anyone know if there is a bug regarding stat stacking or can you just have one item for each stat. For instance i know have a ring with 3 might, neck with 3 might and belt with 3 might. Putting that on my paladin should give her plus 9 might, but she only gets 3. Only one item counts. Is this intentional or a bug? Will ask on the Obsidian forum aswell.

I think only the highest stat boost counts. Like in D&D.

The in-game resource explains the mechanic. Only the highest value will boost a stat. +3 might and +2 might wish have the +2 suppressed. You want to boost stars evenly. It is like D&D in this regard.

Understand, must have missed that then :) And actually i am a little relieved, my paladin with that much might would tear a dragon apart.

I think it actually makes sense. A magic item boosts your body's muscles by 3 points. Another one by 2. The +2 boost just can't do anything since the body has already been boosted by the "same spell". Its logical.

I am wondering if I should actually put off playing it for awhile. I see people are reporting bugs. I have this bad habit of just using the quicksave, so I might easily mess up the game permanently due to bugs.

If I recall correctly

Spoiler

Okay, that does make sense. Thanks! Although I'm sad I can't access parts of the Hold now. Ah well, that's (RPG) life.  ^_^

Had a few bugs, but all were solved by either restarting the game or just saving and then reloading that save or reloading an earlier one. Other than that i havent had any game breaking bugs, not even a crash. Is this still Obsidian ? :P

Its probably the engine. I seem to remember the old infinity games having very few bugs and such back in the days. Its the games that uses 3D engines that seem to be more plagued by horrid bugs.

I am finally at the bottom of Endless Path of Od Nua and i regret it. Cool dungeon though, abit too short in my opinion. They really need to come up with a better aggro system though. Not like taunt or anything, but just some form of threat and not just the old fashion "Guy in a dress, kill him".

^I'm not sure how aggro even works to begin with. My main and Aloth are both wizards, yet Aloth is a magnet for all kinds of trouble (really, enemies bee line for him and phantoms teleport on him) and my main rarely ever gets scratched.

My only solution at the moment is getting a fighter or two with the defender perk (engage up to 3 targets).

Yeah Aloth is a magnet on aggro. I mean people go for him even if he is just auto attacking with his scepter. Yeah you need preferably 2 fighters or a fighter and a paladin with the defender perk. That way you can have control most of the time and i do, but some fights are not built that way. Which is ok, but it ends up weird. I actually fought a dragon that wouldn't hit my fighter, so Aloth was just kiting it around like a pro. Worked though!

I regret Cadegund was cut out of the game.

Really liked her concept

Durance reminds me of recon

Whenever you try to quiz him on things that are uncomfortable for him, he gets angry like Recon would. He is basically telling you to stop >implying or >projecting, you sick Watcher fak.

Not wholly unrelated: Durance is probably the funniest companion. Second favourite so far behind Bro-Kana. Though I only just reached Defiance Bay, so I haven't gotten all the peeps yet.

I dunno about Path of the Damned.

Sometimes you just roflstomp over enemies becuase you get nice dicerolls. You reload, do the same battle because you thought it was a little too easy.

And there you go, your characters keep hitting the guy for 0.5 damage and you lose.
