I've also enjoyed the lore/response options on high Int.

Then again, it's a stat based RPG with attribute influenced dialogue reaponses... since when ISN'T high Int the best route for this?

Planescape: Torment. Wisdom or GTFO. Wasn't useful in combat at all, but it's not like the combat in that game was ever hard.

Hell, on PoE I see more Resolve options than Int. Perception is also used frequently, and Might infrequently. And then there are options available only for specific Paladin orders that make me wonder how in the blazes they are relevant but that's neither here nor there.

So how do people feel about the backer NPCs?

I quite like them. Their stories make the world seem as if it was alive before the PC waltzed in.

I really like them, as i mentioned in my previous post this world was really well fleshed out and this certainly contributed to that. I have to admit though that the first time i played this game i didn't know it was from the kickstarter contribution, freaked me out a little. Sometimes i could just run around for 10 minutes and reading their stories. Is it true Mark Darrah has one? Does anyone know which?

Well, I killed my first full fledged dragon, and I must admit It was disappointingly easy. The battle just wasn't as epic as those in Inquisition, or closer to subject matter those in BG2. Hopefully there's tougher ones down the road. I had several tougher fights.

Welp, finally bought the game.

I'll add a few comments after trying for the weekend. The Game's Acclaim, Zero DRM, and Obsidian developing it were too hard to shut myself away from. Resistance is futile, unless you've got the right gear and a +1 Dex Boost.

When will save-breaking bugs be fixed?

It p*sses me off if my saves get corruption.

I don't mind them overall. Most of the stories I loved, but I did notice several things that irritated me a little as I played further: some stories seemed of lower quality, like a fanfic. Too many godlikes. You barely see any official godlike NPCs in the game, while backers have at least 1-2 godlikes in every area, providing they are supposed to be rare. Some of the names really don't fit the setting, thankfully you don't see these often.

Otherwise I enjoyed the stories quite a lot.

Tomorrow, apparantly. And will be fixed retroactively, so if you have messed up saves, they'll be fixed.

Also, in other news, I deceived a child yesterday in Defiance Bay. Good times :P

Well, that was... odd.

First it said my game was corrupted. So I reinstalled. It then said there was something wrong with my harddisk (o.O) and, while trying to fight overwhelming feels of bafflement, I decided to restart my computer.

And then it worked.

Peculiar stuff.

Patching broke the game uh? Well, this is Obsidian we're talking about... who left Fallout New Vegas unfinished and which the fans had to fix by themselves on PC.

How long Obsidian could keep patching New Vegas was entirely up to Bethesda

Actually, Fallout 3 was made by Bethesda but Obsidian had their engine and worked on FNV while Bethesda published them. Long story short, Obsidian left too fast to another project.

They removed the transsexual joke from the game.

Truly a dark day for anyone valuing free speech.

They did? hmpf. Well i do hope they refunded the person for it atleast. It was a bad joke, but it was a part of the game and art should not be comprised because people can't see the distinction between reality and fiction. Anyway happy patch day atleast.

I can't stand it. I HAVE to know what this game is about. I mean if it spurs this much interest. Then I must buy to see what the rave is about. What's biggest difference from hero's pack to champions.

Actually, it's a good day for me since I'm pro LGBT and straight allies. If I had to play this game and see this, I wouldn't stop harrassing the writers for this much bigotry until they removed the joke. I'm dead serious.

It's a 90s style PC RPG with updated isometric view.

Bioware hasn't been doing a good job of patching themselves.

The pack itself. Heros and Champions. Extra Crystals or anything for champions? I could likely read it. I'm installing. Just wanted to seek clarify.
