So what does the new poem say exactly?
Yes, I am that lazy and am a total slacker.
Basically that he died because of his own stupidity, I think.

Is the patch out on Gog yet? I wanna play!
Just went live,
I am going to download it now and get back to playing. Going to go slow this time...maybe do a journal.

Which is what the first poem was about anyway.
Ironically enough it makes fun of the entire conflict...
Here lies Firedorn, a bard, a poet,
He was also a card, but most didn't know it
A poem he wrote in jest was misread
That asked for blood, so now he's just dead.

I misinterpreted the second poem it seems. Thanks for sharing.

Well, no. The first one was about someone killing themselves over a sexual encounter. I wouldn't say stupidity is the way to describe that particular kind of reaction.
So it was the creator of the poem that told Osbidian to pull it off
What a nice guy
That's how i got the joke as well..... poor dude.
He should've said that earlier to avoid all that fuss from this person smh. :/

Or maybe some people should just use their heads for once and think twice before spouting stuff on Twitter.

well, the Lothario in question highlights the stupidity in the action itself. The sort of satire on how dumb "gay panic" can be.
Hence why I feel the poem writer in-game at least, is a stupid person for doing what they did in the first place.

I just think that if someone were to have a sexual encounter like that and take their own life, it's far more an indictment of the kind of culture that breeds this view about sexuality than it is just a reflection on the person, and it's really tragic that bigotry could be so strongly engrained that one would take their life in that fashion.

but the fact that one is taking their life because of such a thing is kind of indicative of stupid behavior.
I don't think anyone is celebrating the fact that the guy in-poem was right for what he did, hence why it highlights how ridiculous "gay panic" is, by going to the extreme measure of what it can be.
In other words, the bigotry here feels satirized moreso a reflection of what society thinks.

I think calling it stupidity is putting to much blame on the individual without account for how these beliefs arise because of society. Bigots can be victims of their own bigotry as well as victimizers, and I think it's important to recognize that aspect of the harm bigotry causes.
...seriously? It was a four line joke poem. Would you dissect the social and societal norms of "there was once was a man from Nantucket?"I just think that if someone were to have a sexual encounter like that and take their own life, it's far more an indictment of the kind of culture that breeds this view about sexuality than it is just a reflection on the person, and it's really tragic that bigotry could be so strongly engrained that one would take their life in that fashion.

For Pete's sake people.
I'm not talking about the joke poem. I'm talking about the attitude that the person was stupid. There's nothing wrong with disecting the social and societal norms of anything, frankly, and I think it's a pretty sad state of affairs that just commenting on this topic is supposed to be some mark of same.
Why wouldn't I dissect the social and societal norms behind "there was once a man from Nantucket"? Why would that be a bad thing?
People too often confuse the subject matter with a view they want to object to or don't want to hear (which is what you're really trying to do).
I find it interesting that the first time in a few pages you decided to wade into my this topic is to respond to my post to make a point about this horse being beaten dead, rather than the multitude of others. There's certainly something eye-roll worthy here, but it's only your own hypocrisy in trying to act like you're above the fray when you're jumping right in the middle of it.
Regardless of any perceived bigotry (eye roll), censorship should never be endorsed or tolerated. If there isn't content in a society which offends you, then you live in a police state.
I don't know what imagined person you're arguing with, but at the very least do me the curtesy of actually reading the posts I write. I didn't say the author was a bigot. What I said was the hypothetical person in the limmerick - killing themselves over a same sex sexual encounter - plays on social ideas about bigtory, and I think it's a shame to dismiss the person offing themselves as being stupid when it's more an example of how these views about sexuality hurt everyone.
Beyond that, publicly decring a view isn't censorship. If someone puts out offensive content, then dealing with the consequences is part and parcel of doing so; if the resulting outcry hurts your feelings so much you want to dectract from your view, then that's completely on you.
Whatever man, we all got ours own personal fights. No need to belittle others just because you don't agree with them.
There goes Teddie, supreme voice of all oppressed.
His personal fight is controlling what everyone says.
Unable to see things objectively, because of what he does in bed.
As expected, it all went over his head.

Ha... Gotta admit that was a good one.
My point still stands though.
I can't believe people even care this much either way about the backer stuff, it's all garbage to me.
Also what a shitty dismissive post you made earlier Kaiser, a solid 8/10 for me.
In reference to the actual game; I'm enjoying it but I have run into every form of bug possible. I have to do a ritual just to get it to recognize my saves

Hey man, it's really hard to aim. It's not like in the movies.

Auto-lock buttons are there for that in some games. God forbid us to have terrible sights and reflexes! *gasps*
What are we even talking about anymore?

Firing the old blunderbuss. There's a stream of projectiles, sure, but that accuracy debuff can really cause a mess.

You never had a point to begin with.

There's analyzing context and then there's seeing whatever you want to see.

I fail to see how bigotry even enters the picture here, when it's just about the preferences of the fictional person in the poem. This might be hard for you to believe, but people aren't legally or socially obligated to sleep with everyone, and forcing such a matter anyway under false pretenses may just as well be considered rape.

"Remove X because it offends me" is censorship in its purest form, but nice try at turning things around. Even a complete stranger could recognise how blatantly you are projecting here.
