Worked. Happy adventuring!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. It's unpacking nooooooow.
Thanks for the tip on restarting Steam too. That triggered it to start getting down to business. Definitely going to be checking in throughout the day to see how everyone is enjoying it!
I didn't have to restart, either, I just had to wait.
3 more hours till I can leave work and play! Love creating the whole party, MUCH preferred over using predetermined companions. Played BG2 the same way each time. Start a MP game, create 6 characters and move the save file from the MP directory to the SP directory. Giggity.

Well, good I checked this forum for leisure again, I was already getting a bit annoyed the download didn't start on Steam. But now half an hour to go...custom portraits already downloaed and ready to use if necessary and reading some reviews while waiting ...
Damn, as much as I like Bioware's stuff (not you, ME3, sit down again and shame yourself!) I am really eager to finally play the game...
2 years I waited and avoided most of any news about the game despite having backed it...(hey ME3, you were partly a reason for that, by the way! Just you know!)
But while I wait I have already different decisions ahead of me...what main char will I design? A rogue? A warrior/Paladin? Or is being a mage as much fun here than in Dragon Age Inquisition?
Damn ...
Went with a godlike/death - female barbarian, chopping balls off.

And loving it.
It's 34 bucks on GreenManGaming.
Pretty good for a brand new release with so much content, no?
Sooo....about one hour in (most of it spent in the char creation screen ... ) and already a crash to desktop....hmmm...I hope that's not a bad sign.
However: Char creation already got me enthralled. It's miles ahead of BG2 with background and subraces and the "paperdolls" look much better than in Wasteland 2 and on par with Divinity. Huge plus for me...
Setted with a barbarian but ... I already itching my fingers maybe going rogue ... and use the barb only for a quick survey of the game. However, this game already oozes the nineties, though only the good parts. Love the dialogues so far (with descriptions like "scratches head etc", not even BG had that), already getting a cramp in my fingers from holding the TAB-key (it had just gone well again after DAI's constant key-tapping looking for loot^^)
All in all...next Weekend is already planned out it seems ![]()
The RPS review has really whet my appetite, from his review it sounds like they've pulled out all the stops with the story and given how good Obsidian are with narrative design this bodes extremely well.
I'm being overwhelmed by the CC options. Who should I be? Decisions, decisions!
