oh this is a serious post?? I haven't played yet i'm still downloading patch 6 as of right now.
They obviously did this to prevent the healing font to be saved.

You don't think it's more than that? I don't think the font is that much of a boon that they would implement this to remove that minor advantage.
I hope it is to make room for fighting giant bosses like dragons in different stages. Set the precedent now.

That would be very exciting but we'll see. Whatever people's opinions on "camping" in the room are, it's a sound tactical choke point. And everything about this game promotes tactical choke points. The only reason I can see for sealing it off entirely is the healing font.
But dragons would be very cool.

There's a whole map and players just camp in the font room. I'm glad this change was made.

I'm not put off they did this. I'm just saying it's probably to seal off the font. I haven't played yet though still dl patch 6.

I can actually picture why they were not exactly happy about the room. They designed the whole final area with the thought of people actively using it and no one did.
But you know what, if you want players to roam the area and utilize whatever pillar you placed there, don´t give them poor cover and effing monster archers!

If they nerf the archers I would not care and it's not really camping when the assassins and demons warp right under you or next to you
Also is update is BS there is no new armor maps/routes and new enemies.
Yep. Absolutely Nothing New, except a greater chance at failure for those of us who don't have 500+ prestige or top-tier gear/weapons. More enemies, more aggro, archers that can still two-shot you in perilous, but omg omg ermagherd, PEOPLE ARE CAMPING IN THE FONT ROOM! HOW CAN THIS BE? MUST FIX ASAP!
/sarcasm
Someone mentioned that "maybe" we're being prepared for different kinds of boss battles. I seriously hope this is the case, or else I'm pretty much done.
...logic...
What does that mean?
People playing DAMP get pissed, some leave, very few are left, everybody gets what they bargained for: Bioware gets away with ONE DLC, but free, not being called liars, players stop playing so Bioware can claim that new content isn`t justifiable because of the low player base - no more players crying, as they were just told no new content will happen.
Unless, of course, Routine players actually like running around like headless chicken in wave 5 and dying again... and again... and again. Hurray for new blood! What can kill them will only make them stronger, right?

Glad I´m not the only one who thinks this might be a reason ![]()
The change was a bit unnerving at first, but I'm starting to like this change. I've always thought that it was such a waste of level designs on zone 5 because majority of players default to the font room strategy. Now it should be interesting to see the different ways that players utilize the terrain... and the different ways that players wipe. ![]()
There's going to be a bit of a learning curve for sure for the players who aren't used to spreading out in zone 5, but I think this change is better for us in the long run.
Honestly, would it not be cool to put the health font out in the middle of zone 5? Like where is a high risk to make a run for it?
I like this idea.
All agents are in the red. ...Wait. What's this? Agent X is going for the font! One last desperate attempt to turn the tides! Three archers are after him! Will he make it??
If you want players to interact with the map, give them a reason.
* Multiple enemy targets that need to be killed in each part of the map. Similar to ME3MP "Targets" objective.
* Multiple "Heirlooms" or "Scrolls" that need to be activated. As you activate each one, another one pops up in a new part of the map.
* Enemy spawn points (throwback to Gauntlet arcade game) that have to be smashed to prevent enemies from spawning in.
* Objects that have to be activated in a specific order, which seals a Rift or something.
I just thought of this off the top of my head in 30 seconds and it's far more interesting than the current Zone 5.

Those are great ideas ![]()
So much this, don't just dictate how we should play when we had the choice before. Stupid decision. If you want players to interact with the map, give them a reason.

1. One enemy will always spawn into a wall in half the games.
2. Half of them have the "revive bug" in half of the games, so cannot be activated.
3. Enemies spawn anyway and archers one shot everybody. The end. Prince Charming doesn`t get the princess, but commits seppuku with a blunt knife because he can`t be top of Leaderboards.
4. Of course, Bioware will forget to number them. Archers spawn when wrong order happens. Everybody dies. The end. A horse starts beating Prince Charming`s dead body with a wooden stick. It is, of course, a magical horse.
What can go wrong?
Disclaimer: the ideas are really really nice, but with the infuriating amount of bugs around, the above might just happen.
So much this, don't just dictate how we should play when we had the choice before. Stupid decision.
No kidding. Parts of the environment that give us an advantage, not like anyone has utilized that before. Oh wait, welcome to every game that has ever been made.
Just some really bizarre stuff in games last night. I am really wondering about the number of enemies that spawn at the end if it is now more random or something, the 1st two games I played we polished off the spawn in an unbelievably short period of time. I thought, 'oh they have lowered the spawn rate this won't be so bad.' Then I had a few games with damn near endless spawns it seemed, weird stuff.
Had one game in which I entered on the last wave, one other player was there (AW) I was a katari and I was warping all over the map, way more so than normal lag.
I think they have made more 'adjustments' that they have not told us about.
My archers seemed less effective than they were before. Seemed to be a change in assassin ability cool downs, shadow strike appeared to have a much longer cool down.
These of course could be my imagination so I will be looking for other players to confirm this or not confirm it.

I think you are right, I just can't put my finger on it...
The "You must gather your party before venturing forth" message is new, right?
That's one of the biggest bioware troll messages since Baldur's Gate.

We played last night and cleared spawns so suspiciously fast and smooth, that I mentioned it several times to my friends, but then I brushed it off as my imagination, since I seemed to be the only one thinking that. Interesting to see another person talking about it.
