I'll believe it when I see it, MP content has been considerably lacking for too long for me to be hopeful.

LEEEROY JEEENKINS to one end of the map. Mighty blow, combat roll, hack hack, LEEEROY JEEENKINS to the other end of the map, repeat ad infinitum.
Sometimes a building gets in the way. Real men/qunari just keep on charging. Screw the arcutecture.

As an Assassin aficionado I only found the change for the better. The last fight is hella more fun now. Funny thing is I played like that with PUGs I was in for the whole of uesterday, yet I'm just downloading the patch as I type this.

It would be very helpful if Bioware would at least put the patch notes (especially for very important stuff like this) in the game itself. I know they can, because that's how they tell us what the weekend events are. If they could just post patch notes the same way, it would he extremely helpful to many players who don't frequent the forums or happen across patch notes. Additionally, patches are never released when weekend events are on, so it wouldn't conflict with those messages.
In this case, it would have avoided a lot of confusion with people who didn't know they had to be in the circle to activate the flag.

Its actually been easier for the most part, it's like they changed something balance-wise when adding the requirement. The truth is though, everyone could fight their way back to the room if they wanted to. On one tevinter wave 5 last night, we ended up doing it just to control the one spawn point.
p.s. I love the whole twinkling Christmas tree effect of three party members saying, 'over here' 'over here' 'hey get over here' repeatedly ha ha

It wasn't camping, it was tactically holding a narrow choke point, Thermopylae-style!
Methinks that the door is being shut by a disgruntled soldier named Ephialtes, who joined our Inquisition hoping to change the world, only to be put in charge of cleaning up the War Nug dung in the Skyhold stables, before scrubbing the mess on the walls left by Movran's goats and getting stung several times whilst refilling the Jars of Bees for Sera.
Who would have seen that betrayal coming?

I think I'm right that there is an on-screen message to 'Gather your forces' so only the most stubborn shouldn't figure something has changed.
Haven't had anyone wait in the font room since download day. ![]()

I had yesterday. We had to wait like 5 minutes for this jerk to come out from the room ![]()
Then there is the other thing this new banner placing provides: Trolling. Had a party of two guys, me and another pug. These two guys put kick votes on both me and the other pug and then started waiting outside the banner circle. Probably they wanted us to quit or something like that. I was stubborn enough and after 10 minutes of waiting they eventually came to the circle... I know this is really rare but it still annoys the **** out of me
Why can't everyone be teleported to the banner once someone activates it?

And it begins....
Should just automatically teleport people to the flag once it's placed if they insist on the lock out.

Beerfish gets it. Everyone posting seems to get it. Bioware apparently does not.
I can't even count how many times game are lost the minute your first person goes down. Barely anyone has the sense to crawl somewhere safe to be picked up. They either sit in one spot spamming "Over here!" or they crawl to you in the middle of combat. The only time that should happen is after you are stunned by the DC since you can still revive, yet when that happens people usually crawl away from me. I had some Katari mouthing me off last night because I wouldn't pick him up when he was beside me. I was a lego. Tanking the DC and every other enemy around. Sure I can pick you up but I will die trying and the match is over.
Seeing as archers/wraiths can shoot across the map and you'll get surrounded if you don't pay attention a lot more games will fail unless I can solo it. This is going to suck.
Two words 'Common sense', but some players do not have it or will not use it.
What I find annoying is when you are engaged in a fight with a mob & you have some Pug(s) spamming the get over here command to aid them in opening a door.
Firstly I think to myself open your eyes and see what I am doing. Secondly, I think if you come over here and aid me with the mob's we can then open the door.
What I do now when I find myself in this situation and someone is spamming the 'Get over here' command, I will.
Yeah you want me over there to open a door I will come over, but I am going to be bringing an angry mob with me.
Then after I have killed all the enemy's and most probably had to pick there corpses up, we then can open the door.
Like I said Common sense, or lack of it.

It's hard to criticise a new player's caution, but it is funny when you get:
'come here!', 'come here!', 'come here!', 'come here!', 'come here!', 'come here!', 'come here!',
(three players watch as the player opens the door and takes 5 seconds to open a totally safe 'free chest'....)

Even better when they are downed and keep spamming over here. I can't call a time out so I need to finish killing off whatever killed you.

Had this happen yesterday, some people are so dumb. I was holding off all the mobs with my elementalist and instead of helping kill them , someone decides to open the door... If you're going to be opening the door.. Make sure you can handle the **** inside first... The other 3 went down and i got flanked by spiders, shadowed, archered, whorrorred and knighted to doom. Gz on not even getting the chest. Bah. So fail. Two words 'Common sense', but some players do not have it or will not use it.

Edited to add : i don't mind taking the extra time to run through the doors AFTER the mobs are dead if anyone wants . But don't do it while a plethora of crap is running to you(yes we don't need more mobs, less is better) ... Especially on perilous.

That's all well and good (no sarcasm). but I maintain that they should put patch notes in the game. And someone had a great idea that the players should be teleported to the flag instead of having to cluster there! Bioware, DO IT.

I can't think of one good reason why they did this...
If they wanted to raise the difficulty then easy- send more waves/raise enemy hit/hp levels/send out new enemies.
The way they rolled this out is just plain stupid and only makes people want to try other games.

Not really. Corridor camping when executed properly can pretty much gold against anything and everything.
Making the game harder by adding more and tougher enemies only makes people hug the entrance door even tighter, never even setting foot on the actual area.
Just throwing this out as an idea. Since there are many rooms in the last zone it would be nice to get a minute long buff room/area appear randomly and then change into different place, making players follow the buff areas dragging the fight with them around the place.
