Maybe if everyone is on Mic or you know everyone. Not if you have less than 100% communication. Camping and trying to defend 3 entrance routes or a narrow box at minimum is a cluster/fu$k

People that would normally not die on threatening die right and left running around like a chicken and perilous is the same only ramped up about 5 times- at least in the PUGS I have been in.

Just don't buy it that this is more "fun" than the orginal. Feels like some dude at coffee break said " I thought up something last night bob, wait tell they see this new code"

Yep, about like that...

All those who used to complain about the game being too easy and now lament the passing of your font room cubbyhole, I ask only this: As your team wipes on 5/5, and you let fall your tears... that some few... will be for me.

the no font room camping isn't to bad but not telling about in the patch notes sucks a little heads up would have been nice at least to help prepare for it.  the one thing that is bad is enemy range does so much damage and only having 2 heal potions blows you have for potion slots and i know there are regen and healing mist potions but if your getting hit ranged enemies regen is almost useless they do more damage then you can heal and mist barely heals you for half hp

Red templars are now by FAR the toughest faction imo.  Just brutal on perilous.

Patch notes normally occur concurrently with a release , so not usually much chance to prepare.

In any case, it was hard to miss the change (!)

Each zone 5 map has areas where you can 'hold' a choke of sorts.

You don't have to stand totally out in the open.

If you are getting damaged too much, more tanky builds,

staying out of line-of-sight of all the foes,

and focus more on damage mitigation barriers/stealth/guard.

Weapons/rings that carry 'Heal on Kill' may drop/be crafted over time

and prestiging improves your initial squishyness.

Yep.  almost impossibru to clear with a PUG. the lack of cover combined with super OP ranged dudes is basically lethal when playing with randoms

Playing with uncooperated (but strong enough) teammates, you should separate Samson from adds and kill him while rest of your team should attract adds and hold them back, which random players usually do without any cooperation.

yep, but with the way enemies spawn now there is a good chance you're still going to get pincushioned while kiting Samson.

Keep eyes open and kill them first, Samson has no long-ranged attack and walking slow even on Perilous. Yes, I died many times trying to do that, but it is only viable strategy I know for now.

I wrote about seeing Luka and Neria in Skyhold and got a similar response...  ;)

Very disappointed that there was zero banter between the mp characters in single player.  I thought we were going to get some me3 dlc like commnetary.

Luka is near the stables.

Neria is in the garden.

Three others (randomly) are up on the battlements near Cullen's office.

After some more playing, I feel like this is a good change. It forces people to work together, or fail.

I agree that RTC is quite a bastard now, more so than he was before. I find the biggest problem that I have had (all PUGs) is that if the flag is out in the open. Everyone just stays clustered in the flag area instead of picking a place with cover to hold up. This is especially true on Elven Ruins (the one that is super wide open) when the flag is in the big open area at the back.

I haven't had many issues with the lack of room yet. Except when people feel the need to camp out in a backroom with only 1 way in against RTC. Stupid, really stupid. And the offset of extra enemies/exp has made me happy enough that I couldn't care less about the room. Always nice doing a threatening at level 1 and hitting level 8. Or doing a perilous just into 19 but getting a full level. Should be easier to promote now, and I need it. My numbers have barely been going up lately.

At least one player needs to assertively start running to a good spot.

If at least one other person follows, the rest of the sheep will usually tag along.

I do have to say, everyone mentions how RTC is the hard commander now but I would disagree. Yesterday, threatening as a level 4 necro. Somehow I ended up with RTC agro but just kited him all around the map while my team killed all the minions; it was actually pretty easy to deal with.

Its a little different when you are on a class that cant really do anything about him (templar, alchemist)

I usually have something on alchemist that can hit him (skittles, poison) but yes the melee classes can suffer. Although RTC vs Reaver using dragon rage and rampage with an offense potion, he drops almost as fast as the VC, even with his breaks to gain guard. Of course threatening reaver is broken, so so broken.

Not all the melee classes. Assassin can dance circles around him not breaking a sweat.

I bet a well-played shieldbearer can finish him like that as well, though I'm a really bad shielder myself so I can't say for sure.
