But yeah, what is even the point of making it exclusive? Do they think that people so badly want to play the dlc that they'll up and run out to buy a X1, or upgrade their PCs, and buy the game again for the new system? I really don't see what's to gain from this... It shows how greedy Bioware and how much of a di** Microsoft still is to love throwing money at people for like no reason at all... In a way, just makes me love Sony more because they don't do such things, trying to divide fanbases with timed exclusives, and breaking their necks for such "deals".

 

Sony absolutely does this. Destiny on PS4 has exclusives that players wouldn't see on the X1 for an entire year. That is far worse than a month long wait which was typical back in the last generation.

 

Everyone's guilty of it. Its not good for anybody. A gamer who plays it when it launches first gets nothing that a gamer who gets it later would have.

I wish these kinds of things didn't happen. I have an Xbox One so I'm good in this situation but it still sucks when I hear someone has to wait longer than I do or the flip-side. Like Destiny with X1 having to wait a whole year to get a few things that are on the PS4 only. Thats dumb. Then again, so was Destiny.

 

I hope the difference in DLC release date is as low as possible so you and yours can play it as soon as possible. I imagine a month is the best we can hope for.

I can handle a month.  Plus, I have the willpower to actively avoid spoiler threads.  I was fine pre-release when things like the art book were leaked early.

 

It's just the unexpected spoilers that people might randomly blurt out in unrelated threads that I'm worried about.

Need advice and nobody is being helpful.

I have a Canon PT that is post game at 150 hours. The latest save I have before end game (by accident) is 89 hours. Now, in this save basically everything is done except Blackwall's personal quest because I accidentally never took him with me so it never triggered.

If DLC isn't end game, I was going to just go back to that save and re-do it, that way I can at finish Blackwall's quest and do the DLC at a relatively high level (20). But if it's end game DLC, I'll have to do it and not have a complete finish because of Blackwall's. So... to go back or to not? I can't imagine this DLC is post game, or I'm sure you can play it post game without it Solas but I would hate to play DLC without my LI.

I imagine the DLC is likely playable at any point past Haven so you should be fine. Thats just an assumption though.

Not sure about the DLC but most of DA 2 ones were irrelevant being post game or not. So in this case it must be the same. If I can remember right only ME did the whole "you have to go back and replay it".

Well, regardless, now it will be like walking through a minefield again with all the spoilers being flung around.

 

Eh, still, I'll be happy for the Xbox one and PC crowd.  At least some people will be having some fun.

Sometimes DLCs are announced with sudden next day release dates. Its not the first time. I actually think this is becoming more common now.

 

And I've heard not a thing about pricing.

Well, I *am* very happy to finally see some SP DLC for DAI.

 

On the other hand, I am disappointed as a gamer to see the DLC is a timed-exclusive to certain platforms. Hope the wait isn't more than a month or three, or I simply might not be interested after that point in time. DAI isn't the only game in town, after all.

There's definitely more to that patch than just a patch, but it doesn't seem big enough to be a full DLC like this. Maybe it's the Black Emporium and it's just not unlocked yet?

I did. I'm just posting because I know by tomorrow people will understand what I'm talking about, except of course Melca36, Lebanese, and other Bioware lovers.

Maybe you need to take the time to understand that bw literally stated the dlc will be out tomorrow in a completely different post.
