The DLC is out already on XBox One, will be out tomorrow for PC, and will be on the other platforms at an undisclosed later date.

I honestly can't wait to see it. From the description on the website, it's sorta reminding me of Return to Ostagar, combined with Warden's Keep, in that you're going to some mysterious place to uncover the secrets of your order's past, while also scavenging their old armor and other equipment, which will conclude in a boss battle, like the Ogre in Return to Ostagar. Also, pains me a little that they decided not to put one of those lifeless maps into good use for the dlc. Also swirling in my mind, is the "god of war", part of me feels that this dlc might be another "Legacy" in that the Inquisitor unleashes some ancient evil, that shows up next game teamed up with Solas.   Whoever plays it, gotta make sure to bring Cassandra along! I'd love to hear her banter over discovering things about the old Inquisition.

I think Microsoft has the responsibility. Their marketing isn't that great or they can't really pour money into it like Sony do.

Yeah I gotta be honest, I don't like the idea of releasing a DLC the day after it's announced. Is it meant to surprise us? Well yeah I guess it is a surprise, but it would've been nice to know ahead of time so I could adjust my plans on that day so I can play it.

 

I guess it doesn't matter in the long run, not only do I have a PS4 but I'll be busy playing Bloodborne anyway. Which btw, a timed exclusive? Really?

It happens. Usually its taken off the market but since its so late in the day, may as well leave it up for download. Doesn't make a difference.

It was leaked due to the achievement list being put up early, then the incorrect announcement about the trailer was made, then the accurate announcement was sort of made by a dev via twitter on his personal account, then the DLC went up 12 hours early on XBone. I'm not sure what exactly they had in mind for this DLC release, but this certainly wasn't it.

They do it because people are more likely to buy stuff when it's right there instead of being told that they can buy it at some later date. Don't jump to conclusions when you don't have any facts.
