Maybe Bioware has such confidence in this dlc that they decided to go ahead and make it exclusive? Because they know everyone who plays it is going to say only good things about it. I'm really, REALLY eager to see it, with this mindset.

Who knows. I'm a bit miffed, personally. I love my PS4 and no amount of "Hey guys, we're playing favorites because - money!" is going to ever make me invest in a Microsoft product. If others want to - cool. I just love playstation's exclusives more. But yeah...unsure how long us PS4 owners will have to wait. The whole thing kinda makes me want to wait even longer until the price drops. If you're going to make me wait because you have special contracts with certain companies, then I see no reason in rushing out to pay full price once you open up shop to everyone else. Kind of a slap in the face. 

Has me a bit worried for the last gen players (like myself). Wonder if we'll have to wait even longer for this DLC if it's even available to them. Oh well, I guess this could be seen as a good thing. See how the XB1 people feel about the DLC before even thinking about buying it?

The exclusivity deal was announced almost a year ago so I really don't see how they could have been beaming with confidence over this DLC back then.

Guys, if the wait for PS3/PS4 players were going to be really long Microsoft would want that known. It only benefits them for Playstation players and people who haven't yet bought a next-gen console to know that XBone gets the exclusives. That BioWare isn't allowed to say how long the delay is suggests it won't be long. Maybe just a few weeks.

In no universe does it make sense for a company to withhold all information about DLC which obviously has been in development for a while. Especially with Bioware, a company known for engaging with fans. I mean they couldn't even announce they were working on DLC until a few months ago.

 

I think this is all part of the Microsoft/EA deal where Bioware was forced to basically not say anything until the trailer drops, which is now, "Look at this awesome DLC coming out! And guess what, X1 and PC players, it's out for YOU today!" vs in the past where they show off a DLC and say, "Coming first to X consoles," which doesn't have the same immediate effect.

 

Timed exclusives suck, unless this extra money they pay helps make the DLC better? I'm also mad that 360 got cast out of the Microsoft family. Yeah I know they want people to upgrade, but you'd think brand loyalty would be a thing too.

Haven't started actually playing it yet, but I loaded up a mid-game and post-game save and received identical prompts to complete the war table mission to unlock the area. Appears to be playable at any point.

Edit: the war table mission has a suggested level of 20.
