Wow go to sleep and you miss Bioware pulling a Beyonce and people already finishing it. So what is this DLC about exactly? Yes I could google it but I'm lazy and I'm asking ya'll. Worth it? What's the focus? Does it take place after or during the main game? Any choices? Fun cutscenes?
First dlc: Jaws of Hakkon [Out now!]

Just finished it. Took about 5-6 hours (not super completionist) could be rushed in 2-3 if you knew where everything was.
Ending was pretty good, definitely a decent DLC. Though the price maybe a bit high. Some really good funny bits. Nice new items and materials.
Will do up a proper review video soon.
A good deal of shooters last that long at 3 times the price without counting replay ability. Not bad for a $15 dlc.

Yeah, it kind of is. $15 U.S. is quite a bit to be asking for a 2-6 hour DLC. Especially if it's on the shorter end of the spectrum and didn't address some of the primary concerns of players, like a lack of NPC dialogue, or focus on quest.
If it plays just like another very large area, even one as large, diverse, and interesting as Crestwood, $15 is still a lot to ask.

DA is a SP game with token MP. Shooters are MP games with token SP and the MP has greater replayability than the SP mode.

with 4 pc voices, and all the potential companions. Is it really that surprising that it's more expensive, and has less dialouge? Had it only been 2 pc voices, and only 6 companions it would have been cheaper..Yeah, it kind of is. $15 U.S. is quite a bit to be asking for a 2-6 hour DLC. I don't care. I need this in my life. I'm hopelessly refreshing Origin trying to get it to pop up lol. I have a feeling it'll be released when I wake up.

No it's not! The order 1886 asks you to shell out 60 bucks for 6 & a half hours of content! & that is with doing mostly everything. You could get maybe 8 if do DID everything. But that still isn't worth 60 bucks, especially when a third of it is QTEs.
This gives you 6 hours of content for a fraction of that. & that's all game play. No crummy QTEs or overly long cut scenes.

I think this will have something to do with Andraste, not Fen'Harel. Not only is it likely set pre-epilogue, Andraste is a barbarian woman who married an Alamarri (pre Avvar) chieftain.
I suspect the myth being dispelled would be either the Orlesian chantry's (she was a prophet warrior) or the Tevine Chantry's (she was a barbarian mage). It may also be related to something else Andraste, but I def think that Andraste is involved in this one.
EDIT: Going through timeline is picking up some weird questions.
Who was the 'shadow godess' that drove ancient humans into Fereldan? Solas actually mentions a wailing spirit doing this in one of his stories.
Why did the entire Kingdom of Barindur (a subset of the pre-tevinter group) suddenly disappear?

It's weird that the hefty download hit for everyone at the same time. Also, I don't recall past DLCs downloading before you paid for them. I wonder if this is a smaller thing, set apart from the DLCs that XBone will be getting first? Or maybe it'll just "unlock" first for those players.
That's the new patch - not the DLC. Heheh.

I'm going to have to jump on the "This isn't about Solas" band wagon. And honestly, that's a good thing. Don't you think he deserves more than their first DLC while still releasing patches? I sure do.
What they really need to do is step up their patch game so we don't have to keep figuring out how to use mods with the new patch. I know for a fact, I will NOT be buying this DLC if I can't play it with my mods.

So, you're saying that because one game is a bad deal, then it's acceptable for all games? I like Inquisition, a lot, but asking $15 U.S. for another map is asking a lot. Right now all I have to go on is other people's posts on here, but from the sounds of it, nothing that I was hoping would be addressed, was addressed.
Just because one game is short, and expensive doesn't mean that it lays the groundwork for all other games/DLCs/expansions etc.
I will say it like this. Spending $60 for an 8 hour game is a bad deal. Spending $15 for a 6 hour expansion is better than that, but with the info I have at the moment, still seems like a pretty meh deal.

Honestly, the only Mod I've been inclined to shoot for is one to increase loot drops, only because farming for cloth is a pain in my rear, and it hasn't helped much. I don't SO much mind the farming for schematics, I'd prefer to be able to buy them all, just having to grind out the gold. Or maybe make them quest rewards, that'd be cool. Eh.....otherwise I'm pretty happy with the game.

Considering other companies like Infinty ward has charged 20 bucks for a map pack that only gives you about 2 hours of extra content(just counting the first play though of each map). Bioware charging 15 for 6 hours of it is a pretty good deal.

So when we second class PS4 citizens will be able to play this DLC? I start to think BW value my money less, however BW I can assure you that my paycheck is in Euro not candies.
Looking for news regarding a PS4 release, I understand that it is a timed exclusive (and you got money for that) but just saying "we aren't ready to tell when you are going to get the DLC" is not professional considering we know what is the deal about. Give us a date so we can put our minds and souls to rest till that date.

Just saw a livestream. Let's just say I'm not too heartbroken I won't be playing this on PS4 yet. It seems like a decent DLC with a new area and stuff but not a lot of story content. The codexes are probably the key for any theoricrafters though.

This is the 15$ question, right here.
Vagueness serves nobody, BioWare. "Todayish" is not good enough.
