I'll keep playing, though. Maybe it gets better.

Have you fought the 4 lvl 30 Despair Demons on the "Lady's island"? I don't know if that's a bug since everything else scaled to my lvl (26 at that time) or if they were really intended to be lvl 30 but I had to give up, I could barely put a dent into one of them while being obliterated by the other ones. In the end, I made them spawn, stole the rest of the gold and ran away, they quickly despawned.
I'd be curious to watch people deal with them.
Those dispair demons were tough, dont know how much time I spend in the fight, I used all my potion but I still defeated them.

I kept using Lightning Flask and disrupting one of the rifts which made it a little easier. Also having Cassandra helped too.

That's because they don't belong there, to begin with.
Seriously? There are people against modding single-player games still? ![]()

Unfortunately. Because clearly how you choose to play your single player game has significant impact on what I do in mine....
This train of thought has always boggled my brain.

Whitewashing Josephine, Isabela, making Aveline looking like a busty amazon, etc. I could go on. Those are insulting to the creators who made the characters in such a way there shouldn't even be a mod to "fix" those to begin with.

so why do you care what people do to their own game? It doesn't affect you, don't like the mod, don't use it.

First of all, that's a straw man argument. Those mods are outliers and not reflective of the overall pool of mods for the franchise. Second, these are single-player games that people paid for. The creators' control of the product ends when customers pay money for it. If I buy a movie I can enjoy it however I want. If I buy music I can make my own remixes of it and enjoy those all I want. Third, it has no impact on your gaming experience or your life whatsoever. I'm sorry that you have a dictator-complex but the world doesn't bend to your will. People will enjoy these games however they want and it has nothing to do with you.

It affects my sight as I feel like puking in my mouth whenever I see someone posting a sexed up version of Cassandra or Aveline online.

I said you have a dictator-complex because you think you get to dictate how people enjoy products they paid for. If you said " I don't like modding but I know that some people do" and left it at that it would be one thing. To say that mods shouldn't exist and people who enjoy using them don't matter is another thing entirely. It's absolutely absurd. Modding has no effect on you or your life at all so get over it.

So don't look at it! There's all kinds of crap I don't like, but I'm not so self-centered that I think it shouldn't exist.

Sorry but it can't be unseen when someone post the picture online while I'm scrolling on threads that are unrelated to what they are posting. Tumblr has so many of them in the tags that I feel angered everytime I see something that changes a character too much beyond actual recognition.

It doesn't matter whether you agree or not. I am no dictator, however I am free to express my hatred of appearance mods however I feel. If you don't like that, move along. I'm not insulting anyone.

Who cares? It has no effect on you or your gaming experience. No one is forcing you to install those mods. Throwing a hissy fit over it is ridiculous.

If affects me as I am part of this fandom and I'm allowed to have my own opinions. Who knew it was now forbidden to be offended by sexist people!? Wow...

Yes you are. You're insulting modders by saying their mods shouldn't exist and their efforts are wrong.

To be fair, when you call for the removal of something that is not required and has no effect on you and your game, it's not fair to those who DO choose to use it.

It doesn't effect you. It's content outside of your game that has nothing to do with you or your gaming experience, and the vast majority of it isn't sexist or racist. You're still trying to keep this straw man standing but it's nonsense.

So... just because I encourage their removal to respect the original artists' work... I'm a dictator. Right. I support the vanilla experience and that's where I stand.

Artists lose control of their work when they sell it. That's how commerce works. You don't get to tell people that they're enjoying their entertainment wrong. That's how the world works.

No where in there did I call you a dictator. I said that when you call for the removal of something that has no effect on your and your game, that it is NOT FAIR to those who DO choose to use it. Please do not read things that I did not type. You're more than welcome to not enjoy Mods. But you would not call for an end to yellow t-shirts simply because you do not like the color yellow, would you? An exaggerated example, but the point is essentially the same.
