How does it remind you of Dragonborn, per chance? I played both but I never got that comparison.

Little things like the weapons were similar, characters like the skald, the story involving the first inquisitor and the first dragonborn were kind of similar, the huge ass dragon at the end. It just all kind of reminded me of the it.

Ahh, gotcha. Vague as hell but I see where you might get a connection.

...you only want DLC like this? You don't want any loose threads dealt with or more character development?

Obviously i would like some loose threads dealt with. What i was referring to was how i would like all future dlc to only improve on this first outing and not revert to crap like The Black Emporium as a full DLC release.

Am quoting myself from another thread on this subject, as it should answer your question:

EDIT: And some screenshots of my crafted and tinted Armor of the Dragon Hunter (for Rogue):

Thanks but I am looking for more clues now?

My first thought was to go out and buy an Xbox One (we have the 360) so I could play it.  What I heard about it looked really great and like we might get an answer or two.  However after reading through it here on the forums it seems like that's just not the case.  If it resolved some things, really added to the story, or answered a couple lingering questions or two it might have been worth it.  As it stands I can't justify buying an Xbox One and spending $15.  Guess I'll be waiting to see if it comes out on the 360 or just wait a year or two.

As an owner of a 360 and a One, I wouldn't go out and get a One for this DLC. The DLC is not substantial enough to warrant it.

However I would get a One and Inquisition on it if you're willing to replay the game before a major DLC expansion is released. Assuming that ever happens. I'd wait in your shoes. :)

Just finished up with this DLC.  Thought it was great.  If each area had a well defined story arc as this one I'd be in bliss.  There's not an over-abundance of side quests as some have suggested and most of the ones you do are tied to the main story in one way or another.  All sorts of new resources, schematics, and high level weapons across the classes.  Really ups the combat difficulty and brought some nice challenges; good ending boss fight.  Really dug the Avvar and the mythology.  Fair amount of Harding too which was a major plus for me.  Some good banter and humorous moments.  Worth the 15$ to me.  I'd say if you like DAI you'll enjoy this DLC...if you didn't then you're probably not going to like it.  I spent around 8-10 hours to complete but was underleveled at 16 so I had to approach things cautiously.  Probably have another 1-2 hours of miscellaneous stuff to take care of.  You could probably knock out the main story in 3 hours if that's all you care about.  Well that's my two cents for whatever it's worth.

I'm guessing the DLC doesn't give you the option to craft (or buy) a set of Avaar armor (like Finn was wearing)?

Honestly?

The DLC was fun overall, but the best part of it?

I. GOT. MYSELF. A. BEAR. AGENT.

My life is complete now.

....Oh and Cassandra's facepalm at my Inquisitor's tacky, bear-related pun is totally worth 15$. I'm not even kidding :D

I just started this today! Went back to a previous save so I could take Solas. The Frostback Basin is so pretty. And spacious. I'm not having motion sickness issues so far. Yay! *crosses fingers*

I've gone through Jaws of Hakkon twice now.

I do not understand those who didn't care for it, particularly those who charge that this dlc amounts to nothing more than additional fetch quests. Virtually everything that you are tasked with locating contributes something decent to the Inquisitor, and seems to have a payoff overall. I liked my first go and loved my second (where I found even more content).

I still have three other completed game Inquisitors to experience this whole new area with, so I look forward to another round or more!

Hopefully, the poster up there who appreciated earning a bear agent for the Inquisition found a couple of other potential agents to bolster his/her ranks? I've added three myself (including said bear), and hope that I didn't miss anyone else. Along with earlier recruits Sky Watcher and Movran the Under, it seems that the Avvar suddenly have made quite the group impression on the Inquisitor?

I think JoH was worth it.  I've done a mage play through and it was pretty entertaining.  I liked that it was a whole new area, and that there seemed to be a perfect balances of shards this time around.  The story was neat and the cut scenes were good, in general it was an all around solid DLC.

Glad to see people are enjoying it also.  I loved it. (posted a long thing on Feedback forum on why already).  People who went into the DLC expecting a totally different game for some reason will probably be disappointed, but it *is* a vast improvement in terms of tying together all of the disparate parts of ONE area, which I think the rest of the game sorely lacks.

It was basically a massive improvement in a "normal" area of DAI, as opposed to an Inquisitor's Path level such as Adamant or Redcliffe castle.

I just like that it's difficult.

The main game was just so, so easy.  This something that is challenging on nightmare.  So far, no one's made an improved AI mod for DAI (I mean, geez, why don't rogue enemies ever use Thousand Cuts and Tempest abilities?  Why are there no Knight Enchanters to fight?), so at least this is something.

I was hoping for more story stuff, but I found the Avaar and the First Inquisitor interesting enough.  And I do like exploring.

Has anyone posted an image of Vitaar of the Dragon Hunter for Qunari Inquisitors (in lieu of the helm)?

I just got Skywatcher laid! Best wartable mission ever.

I was all excited that he'd become a party member in Fallow Mire during my first playthrough, at least now I got to wingman it up for Avvarbro.

That kinda goes with what Laidlaw said last week about the Black Emporium releasing in May.

So wait, is this being released alongside Black Emporium, or...?  Is Black Emporium free or pay (I can't remember if it's been stated)?  Otherwise that's..   quite a bit of money to put into DLCs at once, depending on the details I guess.
