The elf (whose armor looks suspiciously "ancient elven-like"), has Falon'Din's vallaslin. Wonder if that means anything......

 

His vallaslin looks like Dirthamen to me.

Are all of you sure this is Solas' great story DLC? Looks like a normal addition to me concerning the Avvar. I know that Solas is in the picture, but that looks like the standart "companions look over the scene" type of screenshot.

OMFG THAT'S SOLAS. It could mean two things:

 

1) DLC is pre end game

2) He's back, baby.

 

This right here is my biggest question, because my most recent playthrough (a replay of my "canon" Inquisitor) is stalled right before the Arbor Wilds mission because I want to know where the next single-player DLC comes in; if it's meant to be pre-ending I don't want to lock myself out of Solas content by proceeding 1) past the break up, and 2) past the point where he ditches.

 

Hopefully they'll reveal this in a non-spoilery DLC factoid tomorrow, cuz' I want to finish my playthrough already, dammit.

It was never intended to be a part of patch 5, but no you're not.

And I'm starting to get a suspicion that it's going be sold as a part of this very DLC :/

Sorry if this has already been said but I believe that elf is either the Elven Inquisitor or a Venatori.

The shoulder pads look similar to armour you can wear in the game and there seems to be an eye on the chest.

 

However, the armour on the wrists looks similar to Erimond's and the clothes on his belly look similar to what Alexius wears. It even has scales.

Which means it could be related to the temple where our PC may have accidentally, on purpose, resurrected a high priest of his? Okay, well, in hindsight, maybe that wasn't the best idea.

I agree, I doubt it's about Solas. He'll have to wait for his turn. I love Solas to bits, but I'm already super-excited for this DLC. I have a feeling it has something to do with elven pantheon, though (but maybe they were rather an inspiration for Avvar legends?). Or maybe something more about Flemeth? Andraste?  Tyrrda Bright Axe? I don't know, but I'll gladly go on another adventure and find out. And of course I'l take Solas with me as it is clearly  not  a post-game DLC..
