I hoped with patch 5 this would be fixed. We already have so little armor to choose from, so it would be really neat if the armor we have would.... you know actually work.....? And yes I could set the shader/mesh quality to high but in cutscenes it doesn't matter but it's also not the point.

Yeah, no idea what causes that. Human female battlemage armor gets the borked shoulder, but my dwarf female rogue was in for a really nasty surprise when I tried to craft the sturdy prowler armor. The bottom half was fine. The entire top half was shifted up as if she were a human female. Her entire head was covered by the chest piece. I hoped that it would just be the schematic view that was messed up, but no, when I crafted it (using tier 1 mats as a test since I didn't want to waste the good stuff), it was borked in game, too. I have screen shots on my home computer.

It is a rigging bug on the female human ultra high mesh detail model of the Battlemage Armor Arms.  Paradoxically, despite being (from what I can tell) identical, the Battlemaster Armor Arms mesh does not have this bug.  Basically, what is happening is that both arm guards are weighted to the right arm bone, instead of the left arm guard being properly weighted to the mirror counterpart in the left arm.

Turn it down to High mesh detail to avoid the problem in play.  However, cutscenes will go straight to Ultra regardless, making the bug rear its ugly head again.

Or you can scrape together some Silverite and make the Heavy Armor version of the base armor and then some +Constitution on the arms.  That might only be useful for a Knight-Enchanter who would be mixing it up in melee, though...

Alternately, kill and skin some Snoufleurs and see if the Medium Armor version has the bug or not, as that's more likely to have more mage-appropriate secondary material slots in the crafting recipe.  Class restriction removal is great when you get the right T3 materials. :)

Oh, I know those options but that's not the point. The armor should be fixed instead of us users having to do workarounds.

Well, I guess my only option will be making a cutscene armor... that or maybe modders will be able to fix this.

But thanks for your input nonetheless!

Yeah I used enchanter mail arms and my mage had "salad fingers" in cut scenes.

Too bad it isn't an exploit. It would have been fixed three patches ago.

...Dahek is that?

That is... a travesty of armature skinning.  Does it do that at every detail level or just max?  Is FemElf the only one affected?

Also... alas, the armguard that was the original subject of this topic was not fixed in Patch 6.

Not necessarily.  They'd "Fix" it by removing the Battlemage Mail Arms schematic entirely.

Release bug.

It's only on the female elf, and it's made for some delightful screenshots over the months.

Or they'd just take out human females entirely. It's the only way to be sure.

Is this a PC-only bug? I haven't seen these things happen on PS4.
