As some of you have noticed, patch 6 was released today. Feel free to use this thread to discuss the patch and let us know if you're experiencing any new bugs/issues. If you're experiencing new bugs or issues with your game, please let us know what platform you're playing on and under what circumstances the bug occurs.

Do the shoulders show up in 3rd person view?
It appears that this patch has broken my game. I cannot get it to load past the initial load up screen. I see the little green Inquisition symbol appear on the bottom flare a few times before my game just closes. Does anyone know if I uninstall the game to reinstall it, will it delete all my characters and saves?
Is this happening to you on PC?

Hey Kendar, is the game crashing for you on startup with a console? If so, which console?
Looks like the patch fucked up the game for me... I patched it, then whenever i load a save it just crashes without leaving any error messages or anything... Straight to desktop.... What the hell.....

Idiotic system. Forces me to download the patch when my game was working perfectly well without it, and now all I get is an error message after 10 percent is downloaded. Time was when I could buy a game and play it without constant interference from the internet, but no, that was too easy, I guess. So screwed up. Why force me to download the patch at the same time as thousands of other people to the point that the servers can't handle the load?
Hi Jesse, I understand how frustrating it is for you not to be able to play. Can you tell me what platform you're playing on (e.g., PC, PS4, etc)?

I am on PC and have had no dramas except I lost all my Focus Bar for some reason
And this only happened following the patch?
So after I updated I started a new game it started randomly freezing in the cut scenes. Tried about 7 times to see if I could get passed it and all I can do is pick the character customization and the first dialogues that come up it may or may not crash from that point on.. never was doing it before the update. Basically I am unable to play the game at this point.

Same here: sometimes my characters just stop walking...I have to release my W key and then wait a second and press it again so he can walk again. sometimes he doesn't so I have either to take control of a companion or press another key like jump to make him move. And this can also happens 4-5 times when I am going up to a stairs. This never happened before.

I just started playing after downloading the patch on PS4 and I got some new problems in Tactical Mode.
The cursor where you select who to target and where to cast Area magic disappears after 2 seconds and doesn't return.

Just did. I also tried restarting the system and it was the same result. But when starting a new game it works like it should so I tried loading a save and it works there also. It looks like the problem might have happened to that save alone.
Thank god for autosaves or I would have been forced to replay the last 7 hours.
Anyway, so you now know a fix to my problem. It seams like it only effected one save.

I play on X-Box 360. Since the patch, I have bug where my sound COMPLETELY GOES AWAY. No music, no dialogue, so sound effects, nothing, zip, zilch, nada.
I last noticed this on a new character where, instead of going to the new area from the quest table, I used B to get out to stay in Haven. Sound VANISHED. You can't just exit that game either. You have to get ALL THE WAY OUT to the dashboard and go back in .
Hi Carmen, is the sound still absent when you restart the console?
So...no answer on why my game didn't patch? And before it's asked, yes, my PS3 is connected to the internet, I'm logged into my PSN and EA accounts, and the PS3 is updated.
Hi Sadi, all platforms should patch. Are you able to start the game?
Game loads fine, can get into Multiplayer with no issues, just, doesn't patch.

Hi there, PC user here.
I´ve created a post with this issue but perhaps this is the better place to report it. So I updated to Patch 6 yesterday and I´ve just installed the new DLC. I was trying some of my savegames after 2 months of not playing and I´ve had 5 crashes to desktop in a row, approximately 10 minutes after starting the game. I get a DirectX error. I´ve never had a CTD in DAI before. I get the following error message:
DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The application´s device failed due to badly formed commands sent by the application. This is an design-time issue that shoud be investigated and fixed"). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780", Driver: 34788

The Hair turns PLASTIC/LEGO STYLE AGAIN
It forces me to go settings and change Shared to ULTRA but it doent look good either. (In Patch 6, medium settings my character look Cartoonish)
The MSAA 2x and 4x are not working properly. I'm loosing FPS from 94 to 34 by using MSAA 4x. (52 FPS with MSAA 2x)
This is not working for me.
Issue: The Shared in Medium settings makes the Hair looks PLASTIC.
Issue: The MSAA 2x and 4x are making my game loose tons of FPS.

no idea where to throw info about bugs and such but here you go.. Tier 4 shields apparently have no functioning armor rating, and wyrm still isn't spawning (wyrm-thingie-not-spawning issue hasn't happened on other playthroughs)

This is a known issue and is being worked on. The patch notes have been updated to reflect this bug. Please do not use Ice Dragon Bone or Veil Quartz when crafting a shield.
I'd like to bring this up with the new patch, but for my first Inquisitor (human male), I still keep crashing every time I engage the Venatori outside the Solasan Temple entrance. I tried fighting at a distance, but I barely get 5 or 10 seconds before another crash. On my 2nd and 3rd, I got through by pure luck, my 3rd using stealth, staring at the door while comps kills adds. The only way I can think to avoid this is going to the Oasis before playing Champions of the Just/In Hushed Whispers, where there are no Venatori, as I discovered on my 4th playthrough.

I have encountered a sound bug since patch 6 with the installation and completion of the Jaws of Hakkon DLC.
I've been gaining influence for the quests and missions I complete, but since my Inquisition level is already 20, this is causing an issue. I am now at 22,290/22,000 experience for level 20, and every time I close a menu or enter an area, I hear the Inquisition level sound. It's as if the game is trying to grant my Inquisition a level or is notifying me that I have levelled even though I haven't.
I'm pretty sure this is the cause because it only happens on my saves which have my Inquisition experience past 20,000 at level 20. It's EXTREMELY annoying and is not fixed by reloading saves or completely restarting the game.
