Hallo,

I am from german board and my english is not very good....

My Question: since Patch 6 I have very less party banter. Before, the members of my party talked much and often. But since Patch 6, I can hear in 2 hours perhaps one party banter. No other problems with the game and no crashes, but very less banter. Is anyone here with same problems and any idea to solve?

Greetings and sorry for bad english,

Malelen

(to Haleek) Any specific areas like when entering or leaving Skyhold for an instance or is it randomly tied to different areas?

It's in general, and i feel like black screens after actual loading screens take more time. I even developed a habit to alt-tab the game as soon as i see a black screen. The game is on SSD and running Mantle.

Some sort of a timer was added. Party banter occurs [well, supposed to] every 10-15 minutes. But fast travel between locations (when loading screen appears) resets it. And companions' comments on environment count as banter.

Check http://forum.bioware...y-banter-guide/

@Alex Hawke: Thank you for your answer.

I did not know that fast travel reset time til next banter. Or comments on environment count as banter. I try to wait 15 minutes til next fast travel or anything like this.

Thank you for the helpful and informative link.

Many greetings from Germany,

Malelen

I'm loving this game, but as someone who likes to use mods this game's engine sucks and Bioware's lack of support of the Modding community is a sin, I'm half way through a game and thank to Bioware's lack of support to their fans and update 6 I'm quiting and further more I may never buy a Bioware product again ... YOU [...]!

That was unnecessary rude, I believe - not a statement I make lightly.

I think you should try Divinity: Original Sin, folks could use every spare pair of hands on their mod projects.

Inbetween there are a way to use mods with patch 6. I am not good in english, but I followed the instructions and game run fine with mods and patch 6. Yes, it is correct, that seemingly there is no support for modders and I am disappointed too about this - but if I were the admin of this board, I would delete your text because of your affront. And if I were a maker of bioware and would read your text, I would make the next patch even less suitable for mods as thank for your "friendly" words. ;)

Unfortunately, EA/Bioware has already gotten your money, as well as mine, and could care less about those of us who love using mods. I too quit playing after patch 6. The fact of the matter is, I am now playing through the Mass Effect Trilogy again and have noticed there are problems in all three of those games Bioware has still never addressed. Aside from EA's insatiable greed their developers are forced to do only what they are allowed to do under EA's rule. Besides, they hate being outdone by modders who create awesome mods for free and then share them. No profit for them....EA that is. But, I digress.

(to animedreamer) If you are waiting on the "Black Emporium" then that is scheduled for May.

I got a question: I know the right click function on the mouse is used to mark something on the map but I wonder if it is possible to make it differentiate so when outside of the map it could be used for key binding for, say, the auto-attack?

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit SP1

Intel Core i5-3470 CPU @ 3.2GHz

8.0 GB Ram Nvidia Ge-Force GTX 760

Digital Deluxe Edition DVD patch 5

using: Nexus http://www.nexusmods...geinquisition/?

Mod Manager v0.48 alpha by Ehamloptiran http://www.nexusmods...tion/mods/116/?

I am using an assortment of mods covering a range of things from experience, loot and amulets to appearances, weapon and armor restrictions and everything is working perfectly and I was enjoying the game immensely, until patch 6 (I think?) so here's the story:

I started the game (as stated above) with a human mage PC got all the way to the Mountain Pass above what used to be Haven, had my conversation with Solas and ran straight into a white screen "blackout". You could hear the staff firing when depressing the mouse but absolutely nothing else functioned. The cure was to repair the game and update (still patch 5 at this point) and reload my now vanilla saved game, this got me to Skyhold where I reloaded my mods and continued.

Learning what I wished to do differently in the story before completion I started another game this time with an Elven Mage PC...enjoy, enjoy, enjoy, BANG! White-Out and can't get to Skyhold. Attempted the same repair to carry on and now I get this:

THIS SAVE DATA WAS CREATED WITH A NEWER VERSION

OF THE GAME. PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE LATESET PATCH

AND TRY AGAIN.

Went to Origins and got my "Dragon Age Inquisition is up to date" message and as of yesterday 04/20/2015 uninstalled, reinstalled & updated all with the same results and this is WITHOUT any mods just a "vanilla" version of the game.

Now "Riddle me this Batman" my Elven mage PC is 'Whited-Out" in Bioware Limbo, but under these exact same circumstances as of THIS morning I can still reload and play (mod-less) with my original Human Mage PC under whatever Patch is current as of 04/21/2015. I invested $70 and 155 hours for FRUSTRATION??? ....that wasn't the original plan!

@ embrace eternity: Go to (in my case C: /Programm Files) Origin Games, Dragon Age Inquistion, and there to folder "Update" and then folder "Patch". Open the file "package.mft" with editor (rightklick, open with). Look at Number of Version. Try to set the number higher. If Version Number 7 change to Number 8. Save and close. Start the game and look if it run now. When not running do all the steps before again and change Version Number to 9, save and close and start game.

Hope, this would help you. Have had same problem, but with changing Version number in Patchfolder in file package.mft now game is running without problems.

I wish to humbly and sincerely apologize to all and any of the Bioware Social Network members that I may have offended by my recent comments concerning Patch 6 and my subsequent inability to cope and overcome the difficulties it caused me. I sincerely wish that the offensive remarks I made comparing Bioware's designers to an anatomical body part had not been unleashed (under the influence of an adult beverage) in my 48th hour of fighting the problems that were solved in less than 6 seconds by a fellow Network member that was kind enough to share the cure to the frustration the most recent Patch had dealt me but none-the-less I failed to maintain my cool and blurted out feelings that I sincerely believe should remain sacred between the manufacturer and the customer of a product, so please forgive my outburst and thank you for your understanding.

Is this thread just for problems with patch 6 itself (as in, new problems introduced with the patch), or can we post ongoing bugs that still haven't been fixed as well?

Hi Sean I'm on the Xbox one and I am having freezes in areas with sea and waves, or too much falling water, namely the Storm Coast, Frostback Basin and the Flooded Cave in Crestwood. Graphics don't load, I see birds sitting on empty air, the audio gets all messed up and conversations are delayed, don't play, models are inanimate, saving takes forever, and the map becomes all black. I've made a separate thread for it but it got lost apparently. This happens only where there's water, for example the Storm coast is playable everywhere else except the shore. Frost back is generally almost unplayable. The flooded cave doesn't load its insides I see starry skies above and turquoise cubes in black void below. Please advise, thank you.

I don't know if this is patch specific, but I just posted about a bug here:

http://forum.bioware...tter-codex-bug/

Using PC, bug occurs normally walking around.
