Nevermind, she keeps spawning at the most random places. Saved and reloaded a few times.

It looked to me (according to the map marker) like she had spawned in a rock wall just under the Upper Walkway. Passing over the walkway I could just hear her saying something, and her dialog wheel sorta showed (it was only halfway visible and the button prompt wouldn't show) but she was nowhere in sight. Someone suggested going back to Haven, and then returning. I did that and she showed up exactly where they said she would.

I play the game in German language, but some of the tavern songs suddenly play in French on Ps4...But I don't know if it's an outcome from patch 6 or patch 5. I have the latest patch installed and the problem is still there.

Hallo,

I am from german board and my english is not very good....

My Question: since Patch 6 I have very less party banter. Before, the members of my party talked much and often. But since Patch 6, I can hear in 2 hours perhaps one party banter. No other problems with the game and no crashes, but very less banter. Is anyone here with same problems and any idea to solve?

Greetings and sorry for bad english,

Malelen

I have the same problem. Thank you for adressing the topic. I play on ps4 and sometimes I run 30 minutes through a region and there's still no party banter between my companions.

And I have a third problem, though it's not an outcome from patch 6. Since I first played DAI in German language, Cullen says two sentences simultaneously. When Haven is attacked by Samson and The Elder One, he says the lines "something with the inquision...for our lifes, for eryone" (I don't remember the full text) and "I know the templer. It's Samson" at the same time. The voices overlap on Ps4.

I only made it to page six to see if this bug has been reported.

Bug: During combat, my character and party members lose the ability to move. It happens randomly and not at the same time. Some party members will cease doing anything at all. If I take control of the unmoving character, I can issue non-movement commands. Then the ability to move again will randomly come back. Very strange behavior that never happened prior to this patch.

Thanks for a great game!

I'm on PS3 and the game crashes. It doesn't allow me to pass from the main screen before it freezes the whole game, the loading symbol appears but the screen goes completely black and nothing happens.

I'm having the same issue on Xbox One.

During combat one or more party members become unresponsive. They can't move and will not perform any actions. For me I've found that jumping will temporarily fix the issue. During longer fights the issue frequently reappears though.

I've died twice so far and had to flee a couple other fights because Cass/Blackwall/IB locks up and gets killed, then the enemies overwhelm the rest of the party.

I went back to playing DA:I on 5/3/15. It had an update, update worked, got a storage chest (I would've loved it more on my first playthrough than my second, but it's still great)! It was awesome except for the rendering of Skyhold, like the background was torn open, and then a few NPC's in Crestwood would turn to talk to me after hitting X, but then just stared blankly until I walked away. I started a new file to show someone the game, just a bunch of hitting X because the story was more important. I was told I had too many save files, so I deleted old ones that only said Save until I was down to 10 files (very careful about which ones I deleted). Then on 5/6/15, I went to continue in Crestwood, and there was another update. This one completely broke my game. Here's what I've done and what it's doing:

1. Tried rebooting. Got a black screen with the loading symbol.

2. Hard rest said it would send Sony a report then check the file system. It didn't indicate there was corruption, but showed a loading bar for "checking and restoring."

3. Tried creating a new game. Got the first loading screen after confirming I was going to use the Default World state, and the background was a big crazy corrupted image.

4. Re-did step 2.

5. Deleted the patches and DLC's and reinstalled them, then rebooted.

6. Tried to load from the Load menu instad of using Continue. Hung on the loading screen for about 10 minutes, then I quit.

7. Logged into PSN and Dragon Age servers. Selected Continue and it hung on the loading screen then froze after I shuffled through the info/codex cards.

8. Deleted game data and patches, reinstalled (including items from the PS Store this time). Now any kind of loading screen hangs, then freezes the system. The loading screen for a new game no longer has a broken background image.

9. Went into Safe Mode to restore the file system. Corrupted files were now detected. After rebooting itself after the restore it said I had not shut the PS3 off correctly and wanted to check the files. It did not find any corrupted files and restarted normally. Every way I try to start the game (new, continue, load), it hangs on the first loading screen and eventually freezes. At this moment, it's been on the loading screen for a new game for almost 10 minutes but hasn't frozen yet. I just quit the game and it didn't freeze.

Edit:

I gave up and reformatted my system. 21 hours later I reinstalled everything. I FINALLY got an error message while downloading the patch. It was a port issue. I've never had one before, not with any other content or patch for this game or others, and I got no error messages at all while trying to figure this out. I tried to open the game again and the patch began to download again, this time NO error message, and it just hung there for a while. After I added all the ports, the rest of the patch downloaded quickly and installed properly. I was able to load the save files from my flash drive back onto the PS3 and it's fine now.

I'm going to guess that maybe those who have the issue where the patch keeps wanting to download over and over might be having a similar issue.

Try this:

http://help.ea.com/e...ge-inquisition/

http://help.ea.com/e...nection-issues/

I followed the directions for Windows 8 while on a wireless connection, but I'm playing on a PS3. I thought I had to do it from the router, but doing it on the laptop through Windows worked. This: https://support.us.p...detail/a_id/241 is a link on the second page I linked, and it was no help at all though it said it was a link to directions for consoles.

Either it did work, or it was an amazing coincidence. (First time I had to do anything with ports ever.)

Patch 7 just released and still BW has failed to fix the stability issues for the 360 version of the game. Still unable to install the second disc and get rid of the disc spinning in the tray issue and overheating issue. My girlfriend and I are wondering why they haven't fixed this issue after several months and 7 patches into the game.

We believe that there are other gamers on the 360 facing this issue and probably are wondering the same thing.

Because of this we will not be buying the Jaws of Hakkon DLC or any other paid for DLC until this issue is fixed. We have decided to vote with our wallets.

Dear BW this is unacceptable that the game is still in this state after all this time. Not a single one of your patches has stated "Fixed the stability issue with the Xbox 360 and the constant spinning of the second disc" nor has a single patch stated "Implemented the ability to install the second disc onto the 360".

Thanks for a shoddy game. Two unhappy gamers.

I can confirm that something like this happens on PC. Pretty good PC too ( I can run everything on Ultra at about 40 FPS). This happened on a new playthru after the second fight.in the game that takes place as you enter the gully. Cassandra simply locked into a combat position after the battle and failed to follow my Inquisitor.Saving and reloading solved the problem. Didn't need to exit the game.  Seems not to happen that often.

Should note this is the first noticeable issue I've encountered after two playthrus, Other than the  problems you get when a door has different labels on each side  and where dragons sometimes have two left feet at least according to the labels in 'tactical' view.

This might be partially due to the condition of your particular Xbox 360.

No it is not the condition of our 360. Our 360 is only 2 years old and we haven't played it all that much. It's the game and it is BW fault that the second disc of the game cannot be installed onto the hard drive which has over 200 gb of storage space free.

I don't know if the devs are still reading this thread seeing as how we are on patch 7 and the thread title hasn't changed, but I've been playing the game after installing the new patch and discovered a new bug. I'm on the XBOne, and about half to a third of the time during combat one of my companions or my player character will freeze up when I enter tactical view. I have to exit out of tactical and press the jump button then re-enter tactical, and sometimes that doesn't even work, the character has to die sometimes in order to become active again. If it only happened every so often it wouldn't be a big deal, but it occurs quite frequently. Anyway, hope you guys can fix it.

I went ahead and posted about this problem in the tech support forum as well.

Shawn, the biggest thing I see is the random Lag in behaviors animation sequences for spell casting, worst case was 2 minutes to walk up the skyhold steps -didn't crash, but it was cranking out heat. In the spell case the animation will randomly slow down to about 1/3 speed to nearly a stall for several seconds.  I know it gets cold up there, but can you turn down the thermostat!   Ya know Waterfurnace HQ is close by and they have some of the most efficient geothermal units available. :D

PC here. Just fired the game back up after a few months and installed the patch. But origin keeps insisting I need to install the patch before playing. Over and over I try to download the update I supposedly require and origin says DA:I is up to date, but the game will not start at all. Chasing my tail here. Suggestions?

I have the same problem. Thank you for adressing the topic. I play on ps4 and sometimes I run 30 minutes through a region and there's still no party banter between my companions.

Me as well.  I'm glad someone brought it up-- I played for 4 hours today, multiple locations, left from Skyhold War Table, etc.-- not a single line of banter.

4 Hours, not a single line.  I've read all the workarounds and tips, etc., and none of it seems to work for me.

I really love this game, and love the banter so much, so this has become really frustrating for me.  It's a wonderful game, but this aspect is a huge bummer.

I would appreciate anyone's advice / help/ a new patch haha, etc.  Thanks all.

I can sometimes make it work by traveling from the war table, then fast traveling to Val Royeaux, then fast traveling to where I really wanted to go.

However, this did not work for Crestwood or Western Approach. Also not tested with the most recent patch since I stopped playing weeks ago.

Also, some party compositions seem to be extremely silent... I noticed this whenever I had Cole and Solas along.

I just think that if you have beaten the game one on normal or hard that the duplication glitch should be available you know like a special unlock or something
