This patch just made the game 9.9 out 10. The - 0.1 is because of the skyhold pajamas.

So this is the patch? No RTS style tactical cam? No amulet of power fix? No Black Emporium? Again breaking more than fixing? So again what is the point of doing a beta if the patch comes out in this state?

 

I'm out. Pillars of Eternity is out this week so w/e, not returning to DAI in a very long while.

Patch 6 has introduced some stuttering to my game that wasn't there previously.  It's most pronounced when walking up stairs or when running on rocky ground.  The game ran much smoother on patch 5.

 

Same here: sometimes my characters just stop walking...I have to release my W key and then wait a second and press it again so he can walk again. sometimes he doesn't so I have either to take control of a companion or press another key like jump to make him move. And this can also happens 4-5 times when I am going up to a stairs. This never happened before.

Where do you see what  game version you have atm? Can´t remember downloading any patch lately..o.O

You're [BIOWARE] either going to have to make a Hotfix or release a new patch in order to fix an issue with Multiplayer wave 5/5. Enemies are still spawning in the health font room, but it's closed so we can't get to them; making it unbeatable for certain matches. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

I think you broke my game. 

 

I get a loading black screen at the start. And if I can get past that, it freezes at the press menu to start. 

 

 

I'll time how long if it ever unfreezes the loading black screen occurs. If it takes more then 30 minutes....

 

 

And what do you know...the 15th time, it lasts less then a minute. 

 

Now let's see if I can get past the press menu button screen...nope. Frozen. 

 

 

Ok restarted console. Now stuck at beginning image...for 00.33.58 and then it quit on it's own...ooh "For some reason Dragon Age Inquisition took to long to start....

 

 

Back at Press menu button screen. 

 

 

Froze. 

 

Great. Now I can't play this game. Please? How do I fix this?

The only thing I noticed was longer loading times. I had to revert back to last patch to finish this play-thru. Will try the updated patch again when I start a new game without face and hair mod installed. I cannot play a female with no eyebrows, and since the mods do not work now...

Ok. Fixed it. Maybe it was my console. But this didn't happen till after I downloaded patch. 

 

 

All I had to do was...unplug my console.   I hate doing that.

I tried that. Bugged me so much, I had to start over myself.

You truly believe that Bioware create their patches with modding in mind? THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR MODS! Get it? 

 

So the patch does exactly as intended, which is fixing stuff in the VANILLA game!

 

I'm not pro-Bioware. Not even close. But people whining here about their mods not working any more is just plain silly.

Did I say I thought they cared? No. Just stated that I won't use the patch without it working with mods. Since the mods are actually making the game far better than they intended. (Ie, changing the horrible-looking Skyhold pajamas, etc.)

 

So many trolls.

Nothing in this patch worth downloading for the amount of risk it poses in breaking the game. I think I will skip this patch as well.

Yeah, I'm done.

 

Mods were the only thing that kept me playing DAI. Now, that incentive is gone, along with any possibility that I'll buy the DLC. Maybe the modders will find a workaround, and if that happens, I may revisit that decision, but as it stands now, it doesn't look good.

 

I know, I know. Nobody cares. I'm a nobody, and my money is no better than that of players who aren't disillusioned over the latest patch. But eventually, if enough people feel the way I do, it will cost them the franchise. Over the years, I've purchased 5 copies of DAO+Awakening, 3 copies of DA2, all available DLC for both games, at least 4 copies of BG/BG2, several copies of IWD, and NWN. That's a lot of money from one player, and there are lots more like me.

 

But I'm not complaining. I've been working on a DAO mod for years, picking at it here and there, but never actually finishing it. Now that I have zero interest in playing DAI, I will have loads of time for modding. So it's still a win, I guess.

What gets me is that, back around patch 2 or something, Bioware admitted they knew about the bug causing Skyhold pajamas to appear. Here we are patch 6, months later, still no fix. Wish I could slack off at work like that!

 

I haven't noticed longer loads due to running on an SSD, but the client loves to... minimize window then go back to full screen repeatedly when doing something such as changing video options or starting a benchmark. Only game I own that does that.

....Is this patch not out for PS3? I loaded the game up this morning, not more than an hour ago, and it didn't patch.

 

So, no patch for PS3, no Black Emporium, PS3/4/360 don't get Jaws of Hakkon for gods knows how long.... What the hell?

I want to see a patch that restocks the inventory of a merchant every six hours from the time a player visits a specific merchant (especially the Hissing Wastes Merchant).

Well naturally you can't expect mods to work with a new patch, that's why I'm almost kissing myself for having saved a backup of patch 5. NO WAY am I running around in the beige pyjama again (not to mention the other nice mods). I have no doubt the Modders (Maker Bless) will save the day once more, but until then it's patch 5 and 'disable Origin' where I'm concerned.

I am on PC and have had no dramas except I lost all my Focus Bar for some reason

So after I updated I started a new game it started randomly freezing in the cut scenes.  Tried about 7 times to see if I could get passed it and all I can do is pick the character customization and the first dialogues that come up it may or may not crash from that point on.. never was doing it before the update.  Basically I am unable to play the game at this point.

I just started playing after downloading the patch on PS4 and I got some new problems in Tactical Mode.

 

The cursor where you select who to target and where to cast Area magic disappears after 2 seconds and doesn't return.

I thought that was supposed to be there too, well... not that i care that much really. Ill check back on DAI in a week or two, all these bugs and wasting of time trying to find solutions on the broken game has gotten to a point where i have no motivation on playing it anymore...
