I'm sure this has been said before in this thread, but it needs said again. And again. And again. Until something is done about it.

Why change the way things work? We were originally told this was an "un-moddable" game. But through the genius of some modders, we've been able to chip away and make some great stuff. Then patch 5 comes around (the first one to actually add some interesting stuff) and boom - no more mods. But, genius of those same people, they figured out a workaround so we could still use our mods. Now patch 6 comes out (without which you CAN NOT play the new DLC) and not even the workaround will work.

Almost every modder I know has said they refuse to buy the DLC until they can use their mods with it. (Mostly due to the terrible, terrible vanilla Skyhold pajamas, honestly.) Does BioWare have any idea how much money they're losing?

Only one problem after patch 6 thus far. I launch the game, all is fine, click to continue, connecting to dragon age servers, connecting, connecting and connecting and so on and so forth for about half a hour then "server is busy, try later" or some such, cant realy recall the exact text. Tried to restart the game several times and at some point that thing finally connected and gave me the "save files are out of sync, to prevent this blablabla" message. Game shut down and some progress bar showed up with "syncing cloud data" and whatnot, it went to about 80% and guess what, Server is busy or otherwise unreachable, try again later. Nu content yay \o/

Ergo: Dont fix what aint broken, if you do and f*ck up, blame someone else (like internet connection) :P

I always used to get problems with my cloud saves and syncing on DA:I. I just shut off the cloud in Origin. Problem solved.

The real problem here is patch 6. :/

Changing the way things work is often a result of patching a game, at times unavoidable. The issue is more that BW seem strangely unwilling (given how their games have benefitted from mods in the past) to support modding. Given what has been achieved by mods so far, so much more would likely be possible with the developers' cooperation.

Beyond that, I agree that patch 6 and the DLC, such as it is, aren't worth the price of losing mods.

Yes, there's one BIG problem I found with the newest patch. My mods NOT working any more. Not a happy camper, Bioware.

reinstalled and it loaded patch 5

Hi DAIFAN, the patch should be ready for your system. Can you head over to Answers HQ for technical support?

The Hair turns PLASTIC/LEGO STYLE AGAIN

It forces me to go settings and change Shared to ULTRA but it doent look good either. (In Patch 6, medium settings my character look Cartoonish)

The MSAA 2x and 4x are not working properly. I'm loosing FPS from 94 to 34 by using MSAA 4x. (52 FPS with MSAA 2x)

This is not working for me.

Issue: The Shared in Medium settings makes the Hair looks PLASTIC.

Issue: The MSAA 2x and 4x are making my game loose tons of FPS.

Hi Mercurio, can you let me know your system specs?

Fixed issue that could cause the journal to act in unexpected ways when expanding categories with the mouse.

This did not fix issue with disappearing entries when expanding and contracting the quest log.

  • Expand all journal categories under the quest log, then scroll down to the bottom of the journal and then start closing the categories and you will see what I mean.

Which is quite sad because those mods fix some of the stuff wrong with the game which hasn't been officially adressed and fixed. If DA:I had full mod support lots and lots of the minor problems encountered would have probably been solved in the last 4 months since release.

THIS!

It is understandable that Bioware can't support modding, but then they really need to focus on addressing the issues for which we are having to employ mods.

Interestingly, Patch six seemed to finally address texture flicker and minor asset flicker on systems with an SLI/Crossfire configuration. However the dlc has re-introduced the problem. It is very prominent in Emprise De Lion. I havent checked for the issue in the usual spots in haven such as the training area were Cullen and Cassandra are located.

Thank you for the link, Sean. We understand that you guys aren't concerning yourself with mods when you release a patch, and the various reasons for it. We just wish it was otherwise.

Hey Sean Taylor, have you seen my post on page 4? If so, would that be an idea worth considering? Not to sound selfish (because I'm doing this for all of us who want the restocking issue fixed) but I really think it would be a good idea to read it and give me a heads up what you think of it.

This is one of the most retarted bugs I've ever seen :P

And yes, the load screen isn't infinite. The game just goes a little bonkers when it's telling itself it needs to go to same location you already were. So it takes some time to figure it out or something :P

Yeah, but it does take the game a loooooong time to figure out what to do, and in that time, you've either missed the second bell at the ball or everyone in the templar Great Hall is dead. There's usually an autosave that isn't too far back so it's a temporary inconvenience at best, but timered missions are already a little stressful.

the amount of trolling at the last room is unbelievable. out of 5 runs i could only finish 1, because someone always decides to stay in at the beginning, and there's always someone that doesn't open the menu to kick the person. can't one just teleport the whole party at the banner and be done with it? why wait for everyone? it's boring, and it simply doesn't work. until this is fixed i'm playing solo or just drop multiplayer. it's simply not worth it to spend 10-15 minutes just to exit with no reward at the end because someone doesn't feel like moving. good ideea, awful implementation, please decide on a fix.

Sometimes, the guy that doesn't move is online, is pressing like a furious monkey on the buttons and doesn't see his character move a inch. It happens to me a lot and it can begin after a teleportation. Really frustrating when it trigger...

By the way, Bioware, thank you for mouse pointer scaling. Looking good at 2.5k on a 30" screen. :)

Lol, that is the same guy who started the thread about banning mods and modders because they ruin games somehow, so...

Anyway, I hope a future patch (or even a DLC) addresses the things that I mod.  The future Black Emporium DLC (which is free and will be released early May) has potential to fix at least the pajama/hair issue, so maybe there's hope for everyone--PC and Console users alike.

Still can't tell if he's a troll or something worse.

Anyway, you and me both, friend. You and me both. :(
