I think the reason why Bioware did not hype this up is because the DLC is nothing more than an extra zone. No dialogue, no cut-scene...just an extra zone.

You finished already?

That was good going.

Crestwood was the most story-intensive zone, does it stack up well against that?

Actually, no. I did not play it at all (I'm on PC)...hence why I said "I think". I am using my logic and inference...I would love to be wrong...but yeah. Logic and inference.

Don't know if someone posted this already, but here's a review from reddit: http://www.reddit.co...d_not_worth_it/

Okay, I must be the slowest person ever, but WHERE IS IT? AKA where can I buy it for PC?

- Origin has absolutely nothing on Jaws of Hakkon. Zilch. Nada.

- Xbox, not surprisingly, sells only for Xbox

- The official page has nothing except a trailer, and guess what you get when you click on the "latest news" tab? Error 404.

So. I'm one of those people who really honestly want to pay money and play this DLC on PC. But it seems people are just forced to go and visit torrents instead - which I'd rather not do.

Maybe there's a SECRET Dragon Age store somewhere?

It's been stated that there are at least 3 scenes. The question is, is the banter new, or just stuff from the core game.

For people worried about the delay, it shouldn't be longer than 30 days. This is just normal payola industry bribery. Sometimes Microsoft pays the bribe money, sometimes Sony pays the bribe money. This is just how the entertainment industry works, don't get your feelings hurt. If you play video games, then you should be aware of how the the game industry works so that you don't get surprised by common business practices like this.

With that said, don't stop complaining. Let them know that the money they got from Microsoft doesn't come without a price in your fandom and your mindshare. This is a business, everything has a monetary value. They chose payola bribe money up front, let them know how you feel about that.

It's entitlement because you think that they owe everyone access to the DLC on every platform at the same time, by virtue of the fact that people on all platforms bought the base game. They don't.

They sold you the base game, with an explicit promise that you wouldn't get all of the DLC right away. If you have a problem with that, you have the right to never buy the DLC, or even any Bioware product ever again, but don't act as if this is some sort of backstab. You bought exactly what they were selling.

This is 100% FALSE. When I bought the game for ps3 I had no idea that I would miss out timed DLC. When I paid my money there was no pop up or warning label. Where is this explicit promise you invented out of thin air??? I have never seen it.

Oh, wait, it is! I'm taking my words back. And it's finally in English, gods, thank you! Russian translations are atrocious.

It was announced at E3 last year and has been common knowledge since that time. Research before you purchase.

Back in the day I was a ps3 player of DAO and I still have woes about what happened with return to ostergar.  I 'm currently playing DAI on ps4 but I have it on pc as well. I really think its a shame that developers still do these deals that give early access to dlc and it always seems that its the games that I'm interested in.

So when I see a game on sale I need to somehow research if the game is going to come out with timed exclusive DLC? Do you know how retarded thats sounds?

Thought I'd just remind people: there's no EA-Origin money-back guarantee with DLCs, including this one. If you bought it, that's it, that's money you'd never get back.

Only if it's a game that you're really into. Do you not watch E3?

If you care about your money, and you actually care about if or when DLC comes out, then yes, you do.

It blows my mind that this is blowing your mind. This how responsible consumers behave.

Worst DLC ever. Crap built on top of crap can't become good. Loving new crafting, same only good thing I liked in the game before. Any chances they going to make next DA a Blacksmith Enchanter PC?

Isn't that the case with all DLC from every other major publisher on the planet?

Honestly this is a form of bait and switch. I'd never look it up because companies shouldn't do it. Bought over 1000 video games in my lifetime never once have I had to research if parts of the game will be released without me having access to them. Never have and never will, shame on bioware for doing it and shame on you for condoning it.

You don't understand the term, then.

Whether companies should or not isn't the issue here. It was public information that the first DLC would be timed exclusive for Xbox, so it's not a bait and switch. If a customer cares enough about this sort of thing, then the onus is on them to see what public information says about it.

Having said all that, I wish timed exclusives weren't a thing. It's obviously anti-consumer. It's just not the hill I wish to die on since it affects me so little (and I'm on PS4).

The way most have been pre-judging is not a good sign already.

I am curious to hear from people who actually played it though. It seems like some liked it but found it too expensive for the price as the overall consensus.

This makes me optimistic about the future of the series because one of my main complaints about Inquisition was that I felt the story was not tied into the exploration areas enough. Both were at least good, but the exploration dwarfed the story content and I'd like the main path to be more interwoven with the side quests (like...that crazy dwarf ghoul in the Deep Roads in Origins...you don't HAVE to do anything with Ruck and he is a sidequest, but he's also connected with the overall story).
