I play on PC, so I'm glad I don't have to wait too much for DLC, but it doesn't make much sense to me that DLC comes first to X1 and PC, while Xbox 360 users have to wait as much as PS3 and PS4 users. I mean the deal would be a EA-Microsoft, right? And X360 belongs to Microsoft, right?

Yeah. That has me wondering, too. I have the game on Xbox One, but a whole bunch of people I know bought it on 360. It was used as a large part of the "Yeah. But why do I NEED to buy next gen. All the games are still on 360" argument.

If it turns out that it's not coming to 360, because it's not coming out on last ten consoles, that's a whole other ball game.

This was actually my fear, last spring. It's why I bit the bullet and bought an Xbox One, because I feared at some point soon somebody would pull this kind of move on a series I wanted to play.

I get that Microsoft signed an exclusivity deal with BioWare for this DLC, but to not even let us know how long we have to wait if we don't have an Xbone or PC? Yeah. That's some absolute bullshit.

PS4's a bit better off. The only real support the Last Gen bunch have gotten is "Pipe down, you lot".

They did get confirmation that they are the reason the game lost some of it's more unique features.

That's ... incredibly out of the blue. Dropping it without much prior promotion? Odd.

Agreed. They dropped Citadel 2 weeks after the announcement, and that was on the short side for Bio.

Maybe this is an experiment to see if long promotional periods are necessary. Alternatively, maybe they're keeping the promotional window short because of the exclusivity. In effect, the PS4 version will have a standard promotional period. (Well, assuming the XBox and PC players don't hate the DLC. )

I know. I still love the game though. Just glad I upgraded before I brought it.

A similar thing has happened with a dozen titles, though. Remember Skyrim's 3 DLCs. Now granted, the PS3 version was also plagued by technical problems delaying it further, but there was a similar rhetoric from Bethesda at the time. No further comment as to how long other platforms would have to wait. It turned out to only be like a month, but I don't believe it was officially announced.

Just to clarify, I couldn't give a toss about some maps for battlefield on timed exclusive, but on a story driven RPG it's utterly, utterly unforgivable. It will no doubt be spoiled within a couple of days of release and whether there is a financial kick back or not, I paid for the game on day 1 at full price and expect, rightly or wrongly, to be afforded the respect that comes with parting with my pounds to support the studio.

While it sucks, it's not about blame. Some features cannot be employed to a good standard on last gen, consoles. So they haven't been. The hair textures look at their worst on last gen, not through any conscious decision. Just through the hardware.

I was actually quite surprised that we got DAI on 360 and PS3 at all. As it is, this will almost certainly be the final old gen title Bioware make. We've already been told the next Mass Effect will be current gen only.

Fair enough. And maybe you do have a value grievance.

But at the same point it's not like Inquisition DLC deal wasn't advertised as an Xbox first deal today. It was announced at last year's E3, long before the release of the game. Long before many even upgraded to next gen.

The surprise is that PC players won't have to wait, either. Because I think everybody assumed they would have to.
