I'm going to be optimistic that I'll get this on the PS4 sooner rather than later. I'm basing this on the fact that that huge update came through at the same time.

OK when is this coming to PS4 exactly? Its annoying when they don't release things all at the same time. Here's PC first, now Xbox gets it and finally PS4. Or the other way around or in any order. Point is, they should release it at the same time.

Sucks so much. At this rate I probably wont have the time to play it when it launches. I love the game but this makes me loose interest especially since I'll have to unnecessarily dodge the internet and forums again to avoid spoilers. You guys are alienating a large part of your fanbase now. 

 

Exclusive deals are one thing, I get it the 360 was successful but you bet on the wrong horse this gen. But you can't even tell PS4 owners when it will be available to us? A lot of fans bought this on PS4 and now you risk them loosing interest.

While it sucks, it's not about blame. Some features cannot be employed to a good standard on last gen, consoles. So they haven't been. The hair textures look at their worst on last gen, not through any conscious decision. Just through the hardware.

I was actually quite surprised that we got DAI on 360 and PS3 at all. As it is, this will almost certainly be the final old gen title Bioware make. We've already been told the next Mass Effect will be current gen only.

 

I don't buy it given that the hair textures in DAO and DA2 looked better. Don't even get me started on the characters in the menu screen, because the faces never fully load.

 

I've seen other games on the Frostbite engine on the same platform that don't handle this badly.

Yeah, this "no details on a release date for other platforms" thing is some bullshit.

 

I get that Microsoft signed an exclusivity deal with BioWare for this DLC, but to not even let us know how long we have to wait if we don't have an Xbone or PC? Yeah. That's some absolute bullshit.

I'm curious how this will work out.  The only party this works in favor of is Microsoft.  Not EA, not Bioware.  Too long a delay, and it could hurt sales.  Especially since word of mouth will have given many varied opinions of the DLC by the time it drops on other platforms.  IF it drops.  I am...skeptical.  Last time a company refused to give details like this, we got Rise of the Tomb Raider.  People are STILL bitter about that one...and look, it is related to MS.  Is this going to be standard for ALL DLC for the game?  Or just this particular piece?  

 

Also, what about pricing?  See, if X1 users see this as just a fluff bit, with a high tag, people on the 360, PS3, and 4 are going to hear about it.  It WILL dampen their spirits and possibly convince them to withhold their funds for a better DLC...or a different game.  

 

I don't know...something about this feels off.  Of course, I'll admit, it could just be me.  Just me being cynical and bitter (I'm a curmudgeon, I'll admit it), and I probably need to take off the jade shades.  Still, never trust when a company starts to sound like a politician.  No comment...hmmmm...

 

Still, fingers crossed.  This could be really good.  Just not for a while.

I suspect Microsoft are buying out any lost sales and plenty more, up front.

The Microsoft deal has been in the works for a very long time, who knows, it could even have been a factor in funding the extra development time.

 

DAI appears to have done really well, you don't plan for that success when budgeting the game, even if you hope for it.

This deal may well have been a useful financial safety net for BioWare coming off the controversy of ME3.

"Hurting" seems a bit much. "Disappointing", "inconveniencing", I can see, but "hurting"? I doubt you could show any actionable harm in court.
