True, you can do it, but some mods were actually good, like those restoring Morrigan's lost dialogues/scenes or adding some items.

Plus, Skip the Fade was a must for me - played legit 2 times through that Zelda-esque maze (get something to go through somewhere else) then I was like "Nope".

I just wish I had mods when I was 8 and played Megaman on NES just to add new weapons on an already good game - that's why I mod my games.

One of my favorite mods in Origins was this very small one that removed the circles under the player's feet. Circles Be Gone, small change, but a lot of immersion B)

.

I thought you can only get his mission if you ally and not disband.

you're supposed to be able to get it for both

I never disband but I heard it might be and error, others said it was based on your choice. I do know one thing. They need to fix the Envy Demon glitch and let me promote Barris without needing to judge another!

OK, I officially hate Patch 6. It broke my mods. I am not looking to nerf my game or create exploits. I just want to get rid of Skyhold jammies.

It's times like these I'm glad I work around Origin instead of with it. Friggin' patches trying to take all of the fun out of my game.

This patch is huge. 1.6GB on PS4. With my crappy connection, I should be able to play by...tomorrow. Just in time for Borderlands HC.

So much for completing my playthrough beforehand. :P

I tried that with patch 5 and resulted with being unable to play because it claimed I needed the latest patch, which I had.

Are you talking for when loading specific saves? Because there is a reason and fix for that. Everytime you add mods to an already modded patch, in the 'package' file, the version number increases (you can see it if you open the file with notepad, very simple. The number should be 7 with the latest patch?). If you edit the package file to increase the number manually, you will be able to play your modded saves. Increase the number until it works (for example I had to change my number to 10 for a save).

There's actually an easier way to fix your save game from the version issue.

Load your save in the save editor, and just save it back out and then overwrite the original save. It will reset the minimum version that the save is looking for back to 1.

Loaded up the game and now I'm sad that my auto-scale mod is not working anymore. I was looking forward to playing again without having to go to places in a specific order so I wasn't overleveled in certain areas. *Sigh*

That's a cool fix, but how can we know which save is which? All my saves are bundled together in the saves folder and there's no indication which is which.

Sort by Last modified, and do the newest one. That will be the last save that happened before exiting the game.

Dear Bioware, Please stop trying to destroy modding with your patches. It's a single player game let us have this....

does anyone know if there's patch notes for this yet? Mine just started updating, as well. Plus DLC coming out tomorrow.

What a mess. I feel really bad for those who desperately want to keep playing this game. As much as I enjoyed bits of it, I don't even think this is even worth the hassle anymore.

Some of the fixes (and yet to come) should have been there months ago.

Terrible shame. At least they still try, that's something in today's industry.

Please, please don't tell me that modding is broken. Mods are the only thing keeping me playing this game. If they're broken I refuse to buy any DLC whatsoever. Ugh. Beyond ridiculous. I won't be purchasing any future Bioware games that are so unfriendly to modding because I can only imagine they do it on purpose. Why they want to demand that people play a game they paid for a certain way I have no idea. I will stick to Elder Scrolls if that's the case. It pains me to say it because I'm a huge fan of Bioware games, but a game without modding isn't worth playing for me.

Just give it time, the modders just need to update the modding tool. The code just switches around with each patch, and the engine is not easy to mod to begin with.

Give it a bit, sheesh. The tool creators are already working on fixing it.

Are people seriously complaining that the latest patch broke their mods? Really? This always happens with games that can be modded. Patches and DLC break the mods. It's the risk you take modding the game before all patches and DLC are released. You will get broken mods when there are updates.

Now if you want to complain that you didn't get any warning about the release of patch 6/DLC then that's fair enough. They did kind of spring this on us. But it still doesn't change the fact that you mod your game at your own risk.

:)  Awww... just notice the mouse look toggle and extra binding. Thanks for da fix BW.

These simple features are overlooked by so many darn game developers now and while Bioware is guilty of it no less but a big thanks for fixing it. Please kindly remember not to miss this in all your future games.

As a good BSN citizen, tradition dictates that I find something to whine about... ah yes!

Using a gamepad, I notice that one can walk, jog and run! Keyboard/Mouse is again shafted because I can only walk and run!!! This is unacceptable and I want a jog toggle!!!

...Save editor?

http://www.nexusmods...tion/mods/207/?

It's actually really useful.

My reaction to the patch and DLC is just to wait.  I do use mods and I'd like to see how well the DLC works with them.   That isn't a complaint, it's only an observation.   I'll be hanging back and reading performance reviews.  I've had some rough luck with BioWare DLCs in the past, so I'd rather make sure that everything is compatible.
