Having now played the DLC twice, I now render judgement upon it. (spoilers)

 

Overall its perfectly serviceable and a cut above most of the other areas that we've played in Vanilla.  It has more cinematic cutscenes, a more coherent story to it, and is just a bit more lively than the other areas.

 

The new information on the Avvar and the last Inquisitor are interesting, if not entirely engrossing, perhaps because Ameridan is fairly brief in his appearance.  The Avvar are fairly interesting, but the characters are fairly meh, and I can't help but think of them as Nords.

 

The area itself is interesting enough, and the spike in difficulty is much appreciated.

 

That said, the DLC is still a bit too similar to vanilla gameplay.  Fetch quests and more shards and such, and the enemy spawning still needs work.

 

overall, 7/10, but still probably not worth $15

As hilarious as the comparison is, isn't it very odd that a SP dlc comes for the game comes out of nowhere like this? o.O

End game level enemies would be nice. Since I finish the game at almost level 25 with my characters since I do everything, I'd like to fight enemies that give me XP again!

Dear God in heaven, your combat skills need to be in top tier.

there's a rift near where you spawn. First wave had Level 24 fear demon and a few wraiths, wave 2 had 4 despair demons AND a fear demon.

I'm level 24 and it was a pretty rough fight for me.

When it started, it gave an advisory, like it did with other main quests in the game, that suggested I be Level 20. And my Inquisitor is Level 24. As of now, I have run into nothing below Level 24 enemies, and I even just fought a Level 25.
