Quick question: is this best post or during main story?
Need to pick an inquisitor for this one...
Recommended level is 20 and the enemies scale further up, so I'd guess this would be a good endgame or post-story point.

Yeah it was a bit of surprise. Does Microsoft have release dips on all DA DLC or just the first few? Because that explain why it's not too story heavy.
The way I understand it, only the first story dlc is a timed exclusive.

How do I start it? It doesn't appear in my journal nor at the war table...

Figures Playstation users like me get left out. Reminds me of my very long wait for Dawnguard for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

I can't decide whether I should buy it right now...are there any new armor appearances? I know there are new schematics, but I'm talking about brand new looks or weapons.

It should appear on the Fereldan side of the war table, down by the bottom left corner. I forget what the quest is called, but it's not obvious that it's the DLC until you click it.

Most sincerely, I agree. And this thread is so much nicer than the two on Scuttlebutt...too much negativity there.
I've been waiting for more Avvar lore since Awakening...the Canticle of Maferath and the talking statues in the Wending Wood; the Shrine of Korth and unlocking the crypt beneath the Vigil. So I'm definitely excited. Other than the fact I game on a PS4, it's all good. Well that, and since I live outside Philly, even though I've been up 5 hours, there's still a few more to wait for the trailer.
Hope you will get some great lore then =) and that you get to play it soon.

Have others got the return of shiny hair? I just loaded but refuse to play since it apparently has returned (I'm on ultra)
EDIT: Apparently the shader now controls hair gel. Odd how that works after not having played the game for two months ![]()

I posted in one of the threads in the Scuttlebutt forum a kinda mini-review of the DLC, not going to repost it here but to sum up, wasn't that impressed.
However!! There is something story-related that I just thought of. Major spoilers btw, like mission finale spoilers.
That is really the only thing I can think of that links this DLC to the main storyline in any way.
EDIT: Oh and I forgot, there's the whole "hidden history" thing as well, major parts of history and characters and events being changed, being written by the victors.

Not sure if I'm just stupid or my game is. I downloaded the stupid thing and I got nothing. No journal entries, no war table mission, nada. I don't want to re install the game.
EDIT: Nevermind I'm just stupid. Apparently you have to log in to access it. ...I never log in. Oops.

*snipped xPez spoilers*
This makes me really happy. All this stuff is the stuff I like the most about the DA universe. It's the stuff that most excites me. The lore dump is my primary motivating drive for DLC, so this sound like it's not going to disappoint. Thanks for the info.

Cause nowhere does Ameridan make an example of how "Andrastianism= default good guys and everyone else insane and/or evil."

The Inquisitor being Andrastian does that.

Spoilerthis comment makes no sense for a very big reason. You do realize what the Inquisition was, yeah? It was a group of proto-Andrastian vigilantes. What did you expect?
According to Cassandra and Leliana, it was made up of people who wanted to stop the chaos. Apparently that's only Andrastians, or in this guy's case, Andrastian syncretists.
