It will take a while before I'm buying this DLC. I deleted my saves sometime ago and I don't really feel like starting over at the moment.

How does the Inquisition get involved with the Avvar? Like, what's the introduction? Also who should we bring along if we want interesting dialogue?

I had a bad feeling when I realized this DLC would be released without any sort of trailer. As I suspected it is pretty much filler. From what I hear it does offer some decent content, but in the end it's just another Hinterlands. I Wouldn't pay more then $ 5,00 or $ 7,00 for something like that.

Does it explain why the Avvar are so tall? They're supposed to be the same people as Fereldans, no?

I'll be posting a review in the OP after I finish the DLC, I'll be able to start it sometime this afternoon
.
I've heard so much disappointment regarding this DLC. I will wait and see what others have to tell about it.
In the reddit forums they say it's a lot of fetch quests and 3 cutscenes. No new story, no special dialogues, no new material with you love interest. Mainly filler that probably was taken out before the release (there are rifts in the DLC that is not closed yet).
I have a feeling I will pay 15 bucks for the remains whiped up from the floor?
Most fans play Bioware games for companion dialogues, meaningful cutscenes. I'm one of them.
And MAYBE they should fix the cutscene crashes before they did anything else?

Yeah it was a bit of surprise. Does Microsoft have release dips on all DA DLC or just the first few? Because that explain why it's not too story heavy.

They evolved, like dwarves evolved into giant dwarfs in DAI (well, basically everything evolved into giant something, coz it is cool).

I feel sorry for the people who wasted money on this DLC...they have been duped.
I feel sorry for bitter, unhappy people who can't seem to find anything in this world that provides them with one single ounce of pleasure.
I, personally, am pleased with my purchase of content for the same price I'd pay for two popcorns and one large drink at the movie theater.

Say what you want, but you got duped. There is an difference in being an enthusiastic fan and a tool. The point is that this DLC is simply not worth the price, and you still bought it even so. They're milking your cash with an half hearted DLC and you're all too happy to indulge them. What's next? $20,00? $40,00? At this rate a big story related DLC will be at the same price of a full game.

At my local movie theater, a ticket for a movie that isn't 3D costs roughly $8. Popcorn? A large tub is another $8. A drink? Let's say $4.50. These are midwestern prices, so we'll ignore city inflation.
So, we're looking at $20.50 roughly for one person to be entertained for approximately one hour and forty-five minutes to two hours. That doesn't seem to bother anyone, yet when I happily pay $15 for 6-7 hours of new content for my favorite game I'm suddenly a "tool" who is being "duped"? I was under no false pretenses that this DLC would be heavy with story content. I knew it wasn't going to feature my LI or Solas. I was reasonably sure it'd be another 6-7 hours of my game that I've already put 150 hours into, romping around in an unknown area, exploring, with some cool side content.
It is my free choice, as a consumer, to spend my money in whatever way I choose to. Money I worked hard for.
In the end, I'm happy and you aren't, so really..who wins?

Come now, there's no need for that. If she's enjoying the dlc, and she finds it to be worth the price, she wasn't duped. I personally would have felt duped but she just wants something within dragon age to do that is new. I personally am done with the game until a dlc with content I'm looking for comes out.
I do think this was a typical EA move, but running around telling people who actually like the content they're tools is rather stupid and childish.
