Agreeing with me about what? I don't think I commented on your posts until just then. And that was purely about the last, slightly snarky comment about her meeting her sister's boyfriend and maybe liking him.

Now, I read that as liking him in a romantic sense, which I thought was a d*ck thing to say, but since re-reading it you may have meant like as in platonic like. Which is fair.

Don't think so. I've already met him twice now. I guarantee you he'll be gone in a few months. Her last boyfriend was at least more mature than this one.

But I also don't know him that well so it's not so easy to judge what's friendly, humor, etc etc.

It's not really her parents' business, all they should concern themselves with is whether their child is happy or not. Unless they live in India.

actually her parents are traditionalist muslims and with me being me im surprised they havent tried to kill me yet

As lame and cliche as it sounds, the hearts knows what it wants. If a younger person makes you feel good about yourself and you are honest with each other, where is the harm? I think it comes down to understanding expectations. If you are in your thirties, say, and you are starting to think about wanting kids etc, but you start dating someone in their twenties, you have to be realistic about the situation and what they will be wanting from the relationship. They may not want to settle down and have kids for about 5-10 years. By that time you are pushing 40-45 and worrying about your eggs drying up! My point here is that it would be wrong to push a younger person who's not quite ready to settle down into a family unit picking out curtains because you are at that point in your life.

With me, it was an honest conversation me and my (then) boyfriend had early on. I told him where I wanted to be and what I wanted from the relationship. I was fortunate that he was kinda in that frame of mind too. If he wasn't, then I wouldn't have pursued it any further.

To be fair, you can tell whether two people are completely mismatched. In defence of OP, she may have a decent inkling about this guy and her sister. How many times have any of us ever heard a story and said "Well that's not gonna work!"
