So much wrong with this tho. Do you even realize what your saying here? Its ok to call people whatever because its faster?

He knows. If he didn't, he wouldn't be so ballistic when someone mentions the phrase "sick fak."

Not really sure what's going on with this whole MILF thing. Why the heck would anyone find anything attractive about the Moro Islamic Liberation Front?

Usage of the M-word and political undertones in one post?

Oh, good. I thought "mutant" was the banned M-word. Don't want to get Marvel Studios into any trouble with 20th Century Fox.

Yes. Anything else is a waste of time. But of course you have to maintain the apperance of not being a sociopath IRL. Doesn't mean I'm going to limit my lexicon of terms to list people by on the internet. A cougar is a cougar. If people want to be offended by that they can be offended.

The point is not whether one is a cougar, but whether you are using the term for someone who isn't.

In some ways, it would be nice to be called a cougar. One way is that this would be your theme song.

There are a lot worse theme songs out there.

Don't be coy with me young boy or I'll hit you with my cain!!

Leave that to the (semi) cripples in this thread.

On a side note, it's cane.

Sigmund Freud is arguably one of the greatest minds of humanity, akin to Albert Einstein and Johannes Kepler.

He was not only one of the great neurologists but also the father of psycho analysis. His techniques are still used today and have helped countless individuals. His work led to the entire area of study we call psychology.

So I wouldn't be to quick to bash him.

However I don't entirely agree with everything he says. Some his ideas of sexuality seem a lot more like projection to me than reliable scientific theory.

Erm...no...

That honor resides with Wilhelm Wundt he started (experimental) psychology.

Freud was more important to clinical psychology.

Isaac Newton believed in alchemy (which is outdated now). This doesn't negate the fact that he discovered the laws of motion and came up with modern day calculus.

Sigmund Freud was limited in his understanding since psychology was only in it's infancy. He made lots of mistakes. He had admitted himself that he didn't understand women. You look back at any of the great minds and you'll find that they all have subscribed to ideas that seem idiotic today.

Freud made mistakes, but he rarely (if ever) admitted to them. He believed that his students should blindly adhere to his theory, and was resistant to any changes anyone wanted to make.

Freud's lingering contribution lies is causing others to prove his psycho-sexual theory incorrect/faulty.

So you would be cool with calling me a sp*ck? Or any of the other hundred racist terms for people of Hispanic descent?

Or does your "lexicon of terms" only include words like cougar and not the heavier stuff?

I don;t really have much of a stance on it to be honest. it's totally up to them. If they are genuinely in love with each other, who are we to say if it's right or wrong, or indeed make any kind of moral judgement?.. In fact even if it's got nothing to do with love, and everything to do with hot sex, so what? it's their life, and none of my business.

I will say that there's always been a bit of a disconnect between genders when it comes to age gaps - at least here in the UK, not sure how it is in other nations.

Here it seems totally acceptable for a young woman to date a much older man, few questions are asked, but If a young man dates an older woman, eyebrows are raised and it often seems to be considered abnormal.

My own wife is actually seven years older than I am. I met her at the age of 19, she was 26. My parents had an absolute fit at the time, to the extent that living at home felt like living in an armed camp. I remember those freezing silences at meal times to this day. By contrast when my sister started dating a guy ten years older than her a few years later, nothing was said, as this was 'normal'.

Families eh?

The big difference is that Isaac never spun gold and Sigmund was responsible for the sever mistreatment of a lot, no, A LOT of women.

You make a fair point.

Is it true there was a messed up film about Sigmund abusing a young girl.

It was a few years back. I haven't seen that film. Is it any good?

We have a long way to go still.

We still haven't accepted LGBT's either.

Heck even cross-cultural marriages can cause some people to go ballistic.

Things are improving on all fronts (thankfully).

Well, have you heard about the video game called "Hatred"?

It's about a misanthrope who wants to kill all humans.

Newton believed in alchemy as all scientists of his time did. Alchemy led to chemistry too so the research into it wasn't all pointless.

Freud was crazy with many of his ideas, many of which were his and his alone so you can't really make this comparison.
