I'm willing to bet Bioware will treat its DLC content much like some pseudo less qualitative mmo expansion content but with this same exact sh.!te from the base game. Ie. Shards, third person dialogue wheel convo, lack of tactics, terrible tac cam and so on and so forth.

For shame!

Pretty sure they won't change the mechanics for the game. That is probably not doable anyway. This one will add story content to the game, though. Which is fine by me. It is what the game is lacking, after all.

Since I already made a topic about Skyrimization I offer you another possible "inspiration"
http://en.wikipedia....e_Frozen_Throne

They are going to make this game even worse (I don't not how it would be possible yet but I'm sure they found a way, they exceed at failing)

Having snow in a fantasy world isn't the same as copying everyone else, though. Ultima had it way before Warcraft. Betrayal at Krondor, the might and magic series, etc.

One day I will venture to this forum and there won't be 10 topics of people whining, today is not that day.

Nah, I'm hoping it'll be better. DA2 DLC are miles ahead of the game it was made for and I'm hoping DAI is simillar. They did the same for ME3 where they actually made the DLC's interesting compared to the vanilla game.

But I seriously doubt we're going to get tactics now in the game. It's dumb but we'll have to wait till DA4 for that.

For DA4 you won't even get to pick skills when you level up. It will be like Diablo 3. You get your abilites at set levels, and pick whichever you want to use. And stats will be all gone. Its the next step in the simplification quest.

I'm hoping some great awesome RPG will come out in the next few years that'll be similar to DAO and be super critically acclaimed and make loads of money. That's the only way I see Bioware trying to make a game like DAO again.

What you are requesting is Pillars of Eternity, and it is being released on March 26.

Achievment:

Firestarter

Destroy all the Winter Shards and light all the fires in the Old Temple.

Yeah, even more fetch quests. Great, thats the right way BioWare...

But let us wait for the release, maybe there is a positive surprise.

Ouch. A Story driven DLC that adds more fetch quests.

Oh, I'm definitely getting that, I just don't think a kick starter game is going to make buttloads of money like Skyrim to make Bioware reconsider their approach to the DA series.

That doesn't matter to you, does it? Its not you getting the money. You are getting a kickass product.

His point was that unless PoE makes boatloads of money, Bio won't reconsider their current approach. I guess that means that it does matter.

Pretty much. Skills hard to allocate though, only a minority of us have the complex skills and high intelligence to make those kind of choices.

I mean, look at attribute points, allocating 3 points per level with items and skills that require a certain number? Christ, I only have a bachelors dude, I'm not capable of that kind of rocket science yet!

And tactics? No sir, I need my companions to fight automatically, if anything bioware should make ALL the combat automated... that pressing buttons stuff is pretty tough. I don't even know how I'm typing this.

From watching LPPrince's twitch so far, that doesn't seem to be the case. It seems to be more of the exact same.

Laidlaw even talked about ... "more areas" ... in addition to this "Solas-story-DLC" in the Eurogamer-interview! If they plan on implementing new areas with this DLC I don't know. Just as much as I don't know  ... how ... they plan to do it. We'll see. Man, I thought we had enough areas already! Sounds like wasted time that could have gone instead into filling out these big areas with new story, characters and keeps ...

But I get ahead of myself! We'll see ...

Yeah I wish they would have just filled the empty areas with fun things and a big side storyline. :(
