I seriously wonder how you people find the time to complain about something that..... isn't out yet. Wow.

This is not how criticism works.

No, but it is how feedback works.  Feedback is nothing more than a consumer discussing, ranting about, praising, etc a product so that the owner/builder knows how they feel.

For example i found out today ahead of time that Trixie Mattel is going to be told to

Spoiler
tonight on RuPaul's Drag Race.  My feedback on reddit is that it should be another queen going home even though I've never seen it.  It's an emotion-based feedback versus a technical one.

For all I know Trixie could have been the worst queen in the challenge.  Don't care.  I think she's awesome.

You are right. But I would say its not constructive feedback, though.

(to WildOrchid) Whether it is something you consider usable feedback is another thing, of course, but it still counts as feedback.

It does, and Skyrim has an expansion on exactly the same island as in Morrowind.

Hang on, Skyrim is copying Morrowind, that's not allowed, was Skyrim not Morrowind enough?!  :P

I wouldn't say "exactly" the same, at least not after the Volcanic eruption (Red Mountain?).  Solstheim from Bloodmoon (Morrowind) and Soltheim from Dragonborn (Skyrim) look very different.  Personally, I prefer the Bloodmoon (Morrowind) version.  The Skyrim version looks a lot like much of Morrowind (aside from Solstheim) did during the events of Morrowind.

It has also been some hundred years since then, so the fact that it has changed is probably a good thing.

Yep, granted, it's had a facelift, like Redcliffe, but lore wise it is supposed to be the same place.

It is true it was used as a Morrowind throwback, that's correct.

Yep I call that feedback.  He found out it's a DLC he doesn't like, he thinks because it is wintery that they're copying from Skyrim (wouldn't be the first time) and posted that he didn't like it.

If I were totally invested in determining how others should express their angst I could use a negative term but since it's a ****** game I am more bothered by people's ad hom attacks on him instead of how he chooses to express himself about what is ultimately just computer code.

He didn't deserve the personal attack...which is also feedback, but the type of crazy-I'm-too-invested-in-this-so-I'll-hurt-another-person's-feelings-over-software sort of negative feedback that I really don't care much for..

Redcliffe actually looked great in DA:I, I think. Apart ffrom the waves. Looked like there was a huge storm going on there, and it only affected the waves.

Perhaps not, but if we're rating what's constructive on this thread I think that making fun of him for something he feels strongly about probably doesn't qualify either.

I don't even know the guy, I don't even agree with him, but at the same time people were mean.

Both places were wrecked and rebuilt so I don't care.  It works.

Eh, I'd say that the mockery in this case was actually somewhat constructive as it led to the OP explaining their views beyond "I don't like thing because it's like other thing."

Got to love the circular whining on this forum:

People whine and complain about not having DLC

Bioware releases DLC

If "constructive" equals "mean" and he owes us the type of critique that we want to read then I guess you're correct.

Let me rephrase it: I care not for what happens to consoles. In fact I know Inquisition is what it is because of consoles, don't expect any sympathy from me after ruining my series.

All that matters is that Bioware cares what happens to DAI on all platforms.  The development of DAI (or certain aspects) may have been somewhat impacted by the decision to support multiple platforms.  However, Bioware choosing not to implement proper Keyboard and Mouse controls (on PC) cannot be blamed on Consoles.  Bioware was simply lazy in that regard.  And I laugh at your belief that Consoles ruined your series.  DAO, DA2 and DAI have all been released on Consoles.  If Consoles ruined Dragon Age for you, then you should have stopped playing after DAO.

The console version of DA:O was dumbed down compared to he PC version though. I own both version. You see it very clearly during the Sacred Ashes quest. When you do that bridge puzzle. The console version was simplified a great deal. No idea why.

Only as much as Bioware owes him the type of game that he wants to play.

Our feedback, while perhaps mean, did eventually lead to a slight correction of the behavior that elicited the feedback in the first place. The OP's feedback, on the other hand, has no chance of doing this as it's based on something that has not yet happened.

You mean when you guys were mean to him and made him seem like he was nuts because he was upset?  Oh yeh.  Because most people abandon their thread after the first post and never explicate further unless ridiculed by a group...

Okayyyy, well Imma gonna leave y'all to your fun.

So you feel you are helping by giving the OP what you claim he craves?

It's more of a calling OP out on their bullshit.
