Talon is a Cerberus weapon, the Geth do not have pistols.

 

The Quarians produce some of the best weapons available: Reegar, Arc Pistol, (Black) Widow and the Adas is useful, too.

 

Really, the OP lacks knowledge and got quite a few things completely wrong.

How? The quarian one is more powerful, better at CC and will occasionally get trash kills, and the shock is quite useful against certain dangerous units (fantums). The geth one is really only good for heals. At best, it's a wash and IMO the quarian one is far superior.

 

The shock evo is pretty valuable. That's as far as I take the turret as QFE, but it comes in handy for crowd control, making the Falcon setup even better at bringing the pain to mooks. The geth turret doesn't have that

 

One thing both turrets can do that is especially useful is causing Banshees to Nova and drop the Hand of Denial, leaving them wide open for power combos, for rapid melting.

Planned on a more elaborate post qmr but work prevailed over me. Peddro has a turret thread with more turret mechanics in it. Quarian turret has some interesting mechanics to it and deerber is right kadence doesn't tell the entire story. In my really rudimentary testing geth turret out killed quarian turret. Actual dps calculations could be done though.

Quarian weapons are actually better IMO. However I attribute that to the Geth intentionally toying with the Quarians. That "war" is basically like a college kid playing dodge ball with a bunch of preschoolers, if the weapons were even.

The Black Widow (before the alliance got their hands on it), Javelin, GPS, and GPSMG are all very good.

 

But dat Arc Pistol and M-98 Widow. Adas stagger is also impressive, and the Reegar is an undisputed cheese gun.

 

But I prefer the Salarian approach.

As much as I hate saying good things about quarians, in terms of efficiency, quarian kits and weapons are better. 

 

Geth weapons are no match for quarian weaponry. Javelin and GPS are great but no where near the level of arc pistol and reegar's OP-ness.

 

The kits are close, but two kits having arc grenades give quarians the edge. The quarians are better, but not by much.

 

Having said that, 

 

I prefer the Salarian approach.

What's the arc pistol hype? I've tried using it numerous times, and it keeps performing underwhelmingly. Fully charged, of course.

To re-use your metaphor, can you explain why the "college kid" had to run to the Dean (Reapers) and tattle on the mean preschoolers after they beat him to within an inch of his life?

Quarians> geth. We would know. We made them. Everything good about them is a result of our genius. When they tried to think on their own, they came up with the GPR (useless) GPSMG (less than useless) GPS (terrible because no headshots) and the Geth Hoppers, which were so bad they withdrew them after one game out of shame.
