Hmm, can't remember the names either, 

there's the cloister with the raised centre and the stepped area with the plaza at the bottom...

 

Yes, the bug occurred in both of those areas - 1 time for each. Again, my sample size of 2 occurrences is too small for me to draw any conclusions about whether it's tied to faction or to location, but all I can say for certain is that so far it has occurred 2 out of 5 play-throughs (40%), and out of that 40%, both were in the Elven Ruins (100%), and both against demons/spirits (100%).

 

I will keep playing and see if it occurs again elsewhere, but I do not appear to be the only one experiencing the issue, as evidenced here:  http://forum.bioware...4#entry18855442

mobs have always spawned in the font rooms, half the time the assassin spawns in there and insta cloaks to gank unsuspecting weak players in there/

 

also the place with the long corridor is a common spawn point, the spawn locations seem to be dynamic and change depending on where the team are stood

What's going to help the devs is something to go on, as it's clearly not happening to them.

I think I'll run Elven Ruins exclusively for a while, to see if I can grab a recording.

Just had a game on Elven ruins where we'd cleared out all the enemies visible on the radar, but the zone wouldn't end.

and players too....

 

yep, this has already happened to me. spawned in the elven ruins font room on the wrong side of the door. and when your teammates die from OP ranged units and lack of cover, hopefully they'll do it next to the door, cuz guess what- you can still rez them.

Had this happen to me earlier against Venatari on Elven ruins. We killed everything on zone 5 but the match didn't end, i'm not sure if anything else spawned in but the whole team went around the map several times and we could not find any other enemies. I was forced to quit the match because I was host as a result

Not Wave 5 but this is not the first time I've stood in front of this door and seen 2 red dots on the other side. Only fixable by having the host leave and restarting the level.

I can also report I had a game that couldn't complete due to enemies that spawned behind the Zone 5 doors. This was on XBOX 360 on Elven Ruins vs. Venatori. I don't know the name of the Zone but it was the area with stairs on four sides leading down to a sunken room.

 

Only solution was for the host (me) to leave and force the host migration. However according to my friend who remained in the game the same thing happened again.

 

This is a game-breaking glitch, Bioware. Please fix it.

I just had a game in which a third player joined after the final battle had initiated and somehow managed to get through the door into the fight.

Experienced my first death there and instantly went into the Fade. Eventually all of us died but we didn't get the ending happen so being the leader I left. I don't know if the others for the ending once I left.

Too funny.... Reason why I quit the game. Until Bioware fixes all its issue and gives the game an actual update/DLC, I won't be back.

Late joining players should be teleporting into the zone, but depending on which "slot" you take joining the match the trigger might not catch you. In these cases, players will find themselves in the font room. In order to join the rest of the party just walk close to the door and you will be magically teleported (as seen in the video earlier in this thread).

I'm still looking into what might allow enemies to spawn inside the font rooms.

I will look into this today. This shouldn't technically be possible since there are no spawn locations inside the font rooms.

Can anyone provide information on which destination and end zone this was encountered in? The name of the zone should appear as you enter it.

I noticed this in the Orlesian Chateau level, Red Templars, I was happily running round killing things and noticed a new player as I was close to the original Font Room and he was stuck behind the door, I could see his outline and he was jumping up and down (obviously not able to join..) he did appear next to the flag after we completed the wave so got some free XP.. :)

 

Edit: XBone was the platform if that makes any difference

I believe there is a known issue regarding enemies that can "teleport" through doors, such as the despair demon and venatori spellbinder (I believe... The one that casts the 3 glyphs on the ground). This appears to be 1 of those cases where the enemies have navigated to a location not accessible by the player (BAD).

I've played a ton of DAMP on Xbox One since the patch so for me it's rare to non-existent.

I hope this can be replicated and identified.

to be fair I only noticed it in one match out of about 20, if I see it again I will hit record.. I thinks its a very rare occurrence and, in my eyes, deffo not a big issue, there are some other things with MP which should take far higher priority..

This is an OK workaround but the problem is that only a tiny minority of players (1) read this messageboard and (2) will happen to read this post.

To be honest, when it happened to me, you do run around like a chicken for a moment and just going up towards the door will teleport you through.

You would be surprised what people will or won't do. "Do nothing and wait for problem to go away" or "reboot" are pretty common things people do with consumer software. Can't speak directly to games but would be willing to bet behavior is similar.

I'll be doing the same if I run into any trouble. I absolutely LOVE that the new generation of consoles can basically record non-stop in the background and you can immediately take a 15-minute snippet and upload it straight to your YouTube channel.

 

A lot less hassle and wires than the game capture card on my PS3. :P

Magically teleported, occasionally inside the left wall instead of outside. To hilarious effect on the Tevinter Ruin map, the one without a long hallway underneath the maie zone 5 map. I was eventually teleported correctly after several tries but not all of my team was able to do so.

Weird, hasn't happened to me once yet (Xbone, too)

 

You know, except the usual critter spawning "underground", which still just happens, anywhere. But that can usually be remedied by Poison or mages.
